Hello. I am getting a new computer soon. If I just take the hard drive and SSD from my old computer and put them into the new one, would that work/ would I lose any data? Mainly concerned about my saved games and mods. Thank you in advance.

If so, I'm wondering if modders can make some sort of suppression tool? If they did, that would be the day that I started researching Linux, what it was about, can it run my games and Steam Library, etc etc.

Recently I built my brand new pc, and has been going well. Even more recently I upgraded to a new motherboard, graphics card and new ram. All of which should be compatable. Now in every game around 20 - 30 minutes the games will crash. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling my gpu drivers, but nothing seems to work. I sure hope I can fix this issue beacuse its bassically stopping me from playing my games completely.

New parts:

GPU - RX7900XTX RED DEVIL

RAM - 64gb Corsair Vengence LPX

MOTHERBOARD - Gigabyte Z590 AORUS ULTRA

Your help would be kindly appreciated.

My pc has slowly gotten slower over the years and I'm not sure why. I used to be able to run games like gta5 and red dead 2 with no problems but those games now crash when I launch them. I thought the problem might be storage but I have 42 gb left (good i think?) These are my specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz

Installed RAM: 8.00 GB (7.86 GB usable)

System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Again im my tech knowledge is darn near non existent so im not sure what these things mean but any help or suggestions for possible solutions would be greatly appreciated. (Please i just want to play PUBG like the good old days).Thank you!

Hello.

I want to expand my storage and contemplating if I should get an M.2 or a conventional internal SSD. I really want to an M.2 however the second PCIE 3.0 slot in my motherboard is being blocked by my GPU. I don't know if this will fit and even if it does, will it run efficiently since it does not receive much positive airflow (I plan to have a heatsink installed as well but I don't know if it will fit or not).

Safer option for my situation is an 2.5'' SATA SSD. But for the sake of knowledge, will an M.2 still be good here? I have a ASUS TUF B560M motherboard btw.

Recommendations will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

When I look anything up about Intel ARC GPUs, it all seems to be from almost a year ago. I’m curious if (specifically the ARC A770) is good for gaming and streaming. Im also wondering if the drivers still cause issues for games. I’d like to use it as it’s in the budget range of a PC I’m trying to build, but Nvidia has the better encoders afaik. Would the A770 be good for both gaming and streaming? Main games would be R6, 2K, GTA, and American Truck Sim. The only other alternative would be the something like the 3070 as he wants his parts new/refurbished. Anyone have any experiences with this?

I'm in the market for a new headset as my arctis 9x just broke. What would you guys recommend? I don't need a headset with a built in mic as I have an external mic but I'm not opposed.

Firstly, I will start out by stating the Billet situation was handled like dogshit by LTT. Full stop.

Now when it comes to what Tech Jesus is trying to convey with his video is as follows The original

  1. Conflicts of interest with Tech companies
  2. sloppy data collection potentially misleading consumers
  3. rushing production for weekly upload goals
  4. Poor in house communication
  5. 3 and 4 is how Billet got fucked

These are all markers of a corp with 1 goal GROWTH.

The only problem I have, is the communities hyper fixation on Billet. What could, happen is it being the sole focus. (luckily GN corrected the timeline in a follow up) When Billet gets made whole, which they will. This could let Linus off the hook for this whole thing

I and probably alot of others dont wanna see LTT go up inflames, but address this controversy in good faith, reflect on there current operation, and improve it.

This whole thing calls almost all reviewers into question, and could create even more distrust in them.

Hopefully I'm not being a blowhard, and Steve if you see this Thank you for holding companies to the fire.

Buying a budget wireless headset. Not an audiophile, just needs to sound pretty good. Mic quality would be a plus but can buy separate if I must.

Between the HyperX Cloud II Wireless, HyperX Cloud Stinger Core, and Corsair HS70 PRO.

Thoughts?

I've had this 1660 ti for a few years with no problems, except lack of VRAM. I had an issue with pink fuzzy artifacts, wasn't too noticeable at first, then I noticed on Apex Legends it was really bad. So I reinstalled graphics drivers and performed a clean install to get rid of possible corrupt driver. After that I did not have any problems for a few days. I got a new m.2 ssd and swapped it to my boot drive, I wiped my old sdd of anything windows related and kept important files. On a brand new windows install it worked for weeks. Then I decided to reinstall OBS, my video capture was 3 fps which didnt make sense because it worked fine before. I've been troubleshooting this for days and I gave up on it. I've tried everything I could, new drivers, reseat it in the pcie slot, cleaned it, and re-thermal pasted, it still works with games and i get normal fps for my specs with my monitor. I don't know if it could be a hardware problem or a software problem. I'm debating a gpu upgrade it might be time.

Gpu is EVGA Geforce GTX 1660 Ti SC Ultra Gaming 6GB

My current piece of junk is only 475 gigs and I make content that'll usually be in 1080-1440p, as well as 375.14 gigs worth of games, so it takes a massive toll on my computer's overall performance since the storage to run things is getting low, and because I'm building an all in one PC, I was wondering what the best amount of storage to use for content creation is, I'm aiming for 1TB but I don't know if it'll be enough in the long run

So I just installed my new 7900xt and went to download the Adrenaline software. I have more than enough space on my drives but for whatever reason it's saying I have insufficient disk space. Can anyone help identify the problem case as of now I'm at a total loss

Old Mobo is dead but if I get the exact same mobo will it work the exact same? Or is Windows tied to my old mobo only?
