$53 million global opening weekend sounds like pretty good business to me.

Unfortunately, the movie's budget is $118 million, not including the $80 million Warner Bros. spent to market the movie. And they have to split the revenue 50-50 with the theaters.

Factoring all of those, Mickey 17 would need to make at least $300 million just to break even.

Likely referring to how AI image generators can't generate an image of a full glass of wine

Huh, I interpreted it as a "glass half full/half empty" situation.

I have many favorites:

  • Super Mario 64 DS, as it's the first Mario game I ever played.
  • Super Mario All-Stars, because I prefer the updated graphics and music on the SNES instead of the NES.
  • Super Mario World is pretty cool too.
  • Super Mario RPG was surprisingly good as well.
  • Super Mario Bros. X (fan game) is like NSMB and Super Mario Maker rolled in one.

While the original TV series ran for six seasons on the streamer from 2013 to 2022, when it was announced last year, that Tommy Shelby’s story would continue as a film instead of a seventh season, however, after it was set to release on Netflix last June, Knight, who penned the screenplay, hopes it will also debut in theaters — for the passionate fans.

“I really want the Peaky fans who have been a big part of this to be watching it all together in one building,” he said. “The communication has all been virtual, but I do want this to be in cinemas so that people can sit there together and watch this thing happen.”

[...] The film isn’t necessarily the end of the story either, as Knight teased to Playlist he’s open to working on more projects, “As long as there’s an appetite for it and I’ve got stories to tell, then why not?”

So, are subs like /r/Mario and /r/Nintendo going to be banned for "encouraging violence"?
