I always assumed that was a joke, because they're just kind of bland generic rock and roll that it seems like it would be comical to pretend to have any really strong negative reaction to it. Then I met a few real people who actually despise them, and realized it's not a joke.
Erk
I started breaking the npc ai with regards to fleeing behaviour. It's still pretty sketch but I hope to have it sorted soon. Mostly trying to make them run away more logically when faced with groups or injuries. Currently they're a bit too chicken about zombies that are far away... This is desirable since it stops them from blasting into groups and getting mauled but it's way overtuned.
Also did some long overdue mostly invisible work on random NPC classes. I would like to do more there but there are only so many hours in the day
I was really excited to see those, they were part of the original plans for proficiencies
I truly don't understand people that buy something on release day and then complain about bugs, now, in 2023.
Don't you compare windows to that time honoured and helpful software. WinRAR knows when to quit, and is free
I was away this week and couldn't get my PRs quite off the ground but I'm excited for what's in next week's log
With Luo I actually used some excellent features that were added a whole ago and I'd never had a chance to try. I'm really excited to get back in and add more stuff with that.
Oh, I didn't see this one go up. This is the one where I made my return and added some flavour dialogue to several refugees that were underdeveloped, something I've been putting off for several years. It felt good and I've done more since this.
I don't think that's universal. I work for a NFP and the pay is about the same but the work environment is far, far better.
This is a very odd comment.
- I'm not sure how my comment could possibly have been any more calm. I'm just cautioning on sharing that specific type of information without a source handy.
- You had not posted sources when I left my comment. I cannot predict what you'll post before you post it. Honestly I still don't see you sharing a source anywhere else in your post history, did you make an edit that didn't save and then blame me for it?
- Brains are part of biology. Biology does not mean "unchanging", I'm very familiar with neuroplasticity. However "it's not biological, brains can change" is a truly bizarre statement.
- I'm a card carrying socialist. Wrote the card myself. I'm also a doctor and don't like seeing pop science shared uncritically as a way to imply biological superiority over my opponents, because it doesn't help my cause in any way.
For someone attacking me for perceived anger, I feel like you could take some of your own advice re. counting to ten before posting.
This is the kind of factoid you shouldn't spread unless you're prepared to back it up with a lot of hard data and sources, since you're essentially arguing biological superiority over your opponents. Very little comes from that
I'd go back to around the time my daughter started sleeping through the night. Don't want to risk a reality where my kids don't exist. I'd tell my friend the cancer is coming back, when it's still early enough to do something.
Don't really know what else I'd do. Don't really care. Be nice to live through those years again without changing much else to be totally honest
