MSG is very common in mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, and tomatoes. It's why people love Italian food ao much

No, but the gas you out in your car came from oil imported from Canada. The best way to ensure energy independence is installing solar and wind farms across the US, but the people that scream the loudest about oil prices are against that too

There is bo reason that he can't be getting taxed on his Amazon stock. If he has enough money to remt out a city, he will have no issues paying 12 figures on his taxes

I have been lucky that i have had access to a basement the past few places i have lived.we also have jad some VERY cool winters/springs the past few years in NW Ohio, so my lagers have tirned out great every summer. My dad used to home brew 30 years ago when i was a toddler. The smell of it is burned so deeply into my memories that I think of him brewing beer everytime I smell the kiss kf the hops. He also gave up on home brewing when i was young because we kept moving and he couldn't get a good setup. He lugged that gear around wothout touching it for 12 years before giving it away.

The still behind the carboy actually does both. We ran it in a traditional manner last week to distill the tomato paste and make the neutral spirit. We have been running the reflux all day while watching baseball.

So, i brewed a light lager this winter and finally cracked into those 2 weeks ago.

In terms of general alcohol, my buddy and i are currently running a neutral spirit we made from tomato paste through the still.

Futurama has good science and absurdists jokes, but there is a LOT on Futurama that has not aged well at all, especially from a gender and sexuality standpoint.

I'll give liberals and the Demsa the benefit of the doubt. They are collaborators, not outright fascists. How much that distinction actually matters is another story entirely

And it determines where you can live, what jobs tou can hold, and wheree your kids can go to school. The system that was developed immediately aftyer the federal government said you can't discriminate on race is definitely fair.

My grandma said that she didn't think the depression was all that bad since she had hand squeezed orange juice from one of her 3 servants everyday. She had zero interest in any videogames my brother and i played.

Anyway, currently trying to beat the heat because my tiny apartment a block away from where she grew up doesn't have AC. Miss you grandma, but i sure wish the family haberdashery stayed successful past the 60"s.

My favorite record shop has a prog rock section, and i always make sure to grab the craziest album i see there whenever i visit. This is a very interesting psychedelic instrumental album with heavy latin jazz influences.

The album explores central america before and after the arrival of the conquistadors. The A side starts out slow and dream like, before arriving at a crescendo for the first wave of conquistadors. The B side is a tumultuous journey.

I can't believe how much she has grown in the last 6 months! She's the sweetest little thing you can imagine, and such a little princess. She never bites or scratches people, even if she is getting fed up with me clipping her nails. If she isn't playing with Boudica then she is cuddled up on my lap or chest purring away. Both kitties purr as soon as someone starts to pet them, but Nini has such a squeaky purr that makes her sound like a squirrel. It's been a great 6 months (aside from her nibbling on everything in my pantry when i leave) and I'm excited for the next 6

Surprise surprise, Bagel is coming at yall with more English rock from the 70's.

Picked this up in Cleveland yesterday. I wasn't too impressed by the record shop's selection, as it was mostly just reprints, but i found this beauty over in the used section.

If you want to get into more prog rock, Uriah Heep is a great place to start. Salisbury leans more towards hard rock/heavy metal, but the prog elements are still front and center. The band wrote this album in West Germany, and you can really hear the German influence in some of the songs, including the titular track at the end. I've always preferred German prog to English, as i think the German bands like Eloy stay on track better than Genesis or Yes, but Uriah Heep reall walks the lone between both.

Mom, i swear i jave no idea how that got in my room! I'm just holding it for my friend Kyle!

Reggae is one of those genres i grew up with. My dad absolutely loves it so Bob Marley and Harry Belafonte made regular appearances on road trips and and in my dad's cd player. The anti-colonial sentiments, the easy going bass riffs, and universal subjects like lov and heart break, have kept reggae as relevant today as ever.

Here is the inside before i spread the ganache over it

The recipe i used is available here. My favorite single mom in town asked me to make her a ho-ho cake for her birthday party tonight, and here is my final result! Where possible i have used vegan ingredients, although it does contain butter, buttermilk, and eggs. I live in a small rural town and finding vegan substitutes on a budget is very difficult. I made a test run for my friends this weekend and it fell apart in transit, but this time it survived the trip! The cream filling really needs a few hours in the fridge to stiffen up and not let the cake slide off.

A friend got a basket full of vinyls from a friend of a friend getting rid of her dad's old stuff. Nothing too cool in the basket, just some reprints and mid level albums from the 80's, but free music is free music! I'm fine with Southern Rock for the most part, amd Hatchet is certainly entertaining enough. It's something you would put on while working in the garage.
