Practicing for the two outcomes of the career

Not high ranking enough for the AA gun. Sad.

[–] awwwyissss@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago (5 children)

As bad as things get in my country, at least we're not using AA for executions.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern 8 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (5 children)

Idk, of all the ways to go "executed by AA gun" is pretty badass.

I'd take it over lethal injection tbh.

Our country, sadly, still has executions, and some states are eager for them even as lethal injection supples are withheld in protest by foreign suppliers.

I'm left as fuck asf but I support the death penalty in certain cases.

Some people really don't deserve to be alive and that's a factual statement regardless of morality.

[–] FooBarrington@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

The problem is that there is literally no way to ensure that you never execute innocent people. And no, it doesn't matter what solution you come up with, it's not going to work. So you have to ask yourself: is killing people you think "don't deserve to be alive" worth killing innocent people? Again, there is no option "kill them without killing innocents". You either kill both innocent and guilty people, or you don't kill anyone.

You know this is stupid, but after all this time I just thought about the fact that he couldn't have wrote the line about jumping out of the window. Which is obvious but somehow until today watch I never thought about it at all.

Flip the panels and we got a hot new suicide meme format.

[–] axellenium@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I like your way of thinking

Damn....

[–] Poggervania@kbin.social 30 points 1 year ago

Guys, he’s demonstrating gun safety the same way Detective Raphaël Ambrosius Costeau from Disco Elysium shows it. Minus the “blowing out your own brains” bit.

[–] Ado@lemmy.world 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

What in the world is the context of these? I don’t even understand based on the twitter post

[–] Son_of_dad@lemmy.world 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Remember that scene in Lord of war, where Nicolas Cage goes to this weapons Expo with a bunch of criminals, defense contractors and world governments? Basically what's going on here, just a bunch of war mongers making money

[–] Ado@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

What a world we live in, lmao. Bizarre as hell

[–] Hank@kbin.social 22 points 1 year ago (2 children)

The first picture is a perspective thing, right? He doesn't hold it against his head but looks at it.

[–] band_on_the_run@lemmy.world 35 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (4 children)

No, it is exactly what it looks like. Even @IranDefense twitter account is a little...bemused by his behavior:

[–] Hank@kbin.social 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Damn he really couldn't help but live out a fantasy of his in this public moment.

[–] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 21 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I wonder if it's not even a fantasy suicide thing.
He could have been checking to see what it felt like when he puts the gun to other people's heads.

When you select minions based on allegiance instead of talent, then execute anyone who ends up being too capable, this is what you're left with.

[–] Pat12@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

just the haircut makes him look distinctly north korean, any other haircut and you wouldn't be able to tell

[–] Dr_Cog@mander.xyz 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Both the haircut and the button-down tan pocketed shirt

Why do both of these North Korean dudes have arms that look like they have severe heart issues.

[–] nyoooom@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Digital clubbing, look at his fingertips and notice the disparity of color between his red swollen arm and the right pale thin arm. A photo with both arms down would be nice but I don't it interesting anyhow.

[–] IphtashuFitz@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s related to malnutrition due to the various famines North Korea has endured. He looks like he probably would have been in his teens or 20’s during the Arduous March famine in the 90’s, so unless he was from a powerful/influential family then he likely suffered from malnutrition while a conscript in the army.

It kind of looks like his dopp bag strap is just cutting off circulation at the wrist, and maybe his watch is too tight.

Fake Rolex Explorer and a shitty clone two-tone pistol. That’s the bodega owner’s special.

[–] eckte@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Can you really tell it’s fake?

This could be me_irl
