Wanted to ask if there was another premium (or free) surefire way to get movies and TV shows in high quality without much hassle? I had an emby shared server that pretty much had anything I wanted but it looks like it shut down completely. I also didn't notice that the reddits for plex/emby shares had been banned for a while cause I had this service for the past couple years. Any alternatives would be very much appreciated :)

I don't have an account myself, and the photos and videos I'm trying to download en masse belong to a famous person's public account. Is there anything I can use to do it (as long as it's not creating an account lol), preferably proxied tools as apparently I get blocked while behind a VPN?

Thank you!

Hey all! First post over here, though I go back a decade plus on ~~reddit~~. I'm wondering if there are any dbzer0-friendly Mastodon servers, particularly ones related to what we're talking about in here.

Overall I want a server that's anarchist-friendly, NSFW without supporting the illegal stuff, and not likely to up and vanish tomorrow.

It'd be nice if everyone had not defederated with it too, just like how dbzer0 is fine with all the Lemmy servers I need.

The Mastodon community on Lemmy is my next stop, but I'll happily check out any recommendations from you guys.

I own a JVC old european TV and a fire stick tv lite. I used to have a TV in my room and connect it to my desktp PC with an HDMI cable but I removed the telly in order to have more space.

In my living room I have this JVC TV I can use, but I doubt there's much I can do on it.

One solution would be to buy a laptop with HDMI port, but that's expensive for me right now. My old laptop doesn't have any port.

What would be the best solution to watch movies and tv shows on the TV?

So I downloaded the new Spiderman 2 port from DODI. And while the gameplay is pretty good, the cutscenes just are making my eyes bleed.

Some characters start t-posing out of nowhere, the audio is out of sync, and they look really bad generally speaking. I have tried changing some settings, but still that doesn't seem to work. My PC has a i5-10400F and 6700xt The only thing I know could cause some issues is maybe that i'm running it on HDD. I can make some space on my normal SSD if there's no other way but I would like to try other things first.

Is there any way to fix this?

I don't know if it's SpotX the problem, but around the time I implemented (a few days ago) when I shut down my PC it says an app is still running and I need to cancel it and shut down again.

The app running has no icon and name too. What could be the problem and solution?

Was hoping to get help finding a guide with more detail on setting up something like rdt-client for people who don't use docker.

It appears like its very much possible but it seems like pretty much all guides assume the user is setting it up in docker.

Currently have zurg and plex debrid setup with RD which works great but i find plex debrid a little lacking in being able to find what im looking for compares to using the *arr programs.

What are some good premium torrent sites for movies and tv? Do those still exist or is piratebay the main site?

Can someone please recommend a free pitch deck app or refer us to an easy to use guide?

I need to do a pitch and was told to use a deck.

Hi all,

I've been scouring around for a tool to do this for some time but haven't had any luck, hence here I am once again asking for your pirate support.

I'm aware of Cider, but it doesn't do High-Quality Lossless and the people behind it seem a bit scummy to be honest; the whole Cider 2 thing. Forgive me if I'm wrong, and please correct me.

I'm quite keen on doing this since I'm part of an Apple Family plan, so I don't pay a penny for the service but still get full access. I've got terabytes of storage just waiting to share music via Soulseek.

While I'm at it here, might as well ask if anyone's got a similar thing for Spotify? It's the same deal with the whole Family plan thing (It's a complex situation) so downloading from that service is just as appealing, though AM is preferred because quality.

Sidenote, I don't want any of these tools that just match the song and rip from YouTube; always gives crap quality.

ACCUMULATED RELEASE SIZE FOR MARCH 2024

From the 65.367 scene releases, only 39.915 of them had file + size information.

They total to: 39,25 TB (39.252.916 MB) in 391 thousand files (391.149).

No idea about the size of the missing information, so the real value should be much higher.

If someone were to try and download a song from (say) Youtube, Spotify or Soundcloud which site would provide the best audio version?

Sometimes the songs I seek aren't available via the usual places (like soulseek, electronic fresh or dj soundstop ) and I have to opt for a less desirable choice.

I'm currently using Media Human's incredibly versatile Youtube to MP3 ripper (it also rips songs off Soundcloud, Spotify, Vimeo, Bandcamp, Mixcloud etc) and is highly recommended.

https://www.mediahuman.com/youtube-to-mp3/31/

The sound quality of its rips are great (I usually only play these rips in the car or on my mac so I'm not sure I'd notice any degradation in sound quality).

This Afrobeat rip, for example, sounds fantastic when turned up and becomes a full on electronic song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEJ_m2HPXv8

Nonetheless, I still have a nagging feeling I might not always be taking from the best possible source.

So anyone know which service has the best audio encode in the first place?

thanks

Is MBAM better, or is microsoft defender enough if you download from trusted sources?

Do you consider Nyaa safe? (I'd like to get a visual novel or two that I haven't purchased on steam yet)

Regarding other games, I always used pirate bay and I've been fine, 10 years ago though. Are the website listed in the wiki generally safe?

Hello all,

I am running fedora with mullvad (wireguard) straight from the network settings with a configuration file.

According to https://mullvad.net/en/check everything is fine but I want to know if I am set for torrenting now that they have removed port forwarding and I cannot bind qbittorrent to the vpn.

Should I adjust anything or am I set? What was the benefit of port forwarding?

I believe we're approaching the final 3-5 years of prevalent piracy for several reasons:

  • Software: The difficulty of cracking and modifying software has significantly increased.

  • Movies and TV Shows: Numerous streaming sites have been shut down or faced legal penalties.

  • Adult Content: New releases are often removed within 1-5 weeks, and many older titles are no longer available on piracy platforms.

Given these trends, what might a post-piracy world entail?
