Your opinions are certainly grounded in reality at least. It's refreshing to read something sensible for a change.
Sadly, I tend to agree. It's not just the US either, this shit is very much a global issue.
Uh, I don't have anything against America as a whole, but saying y'all don't like irrational things rings pretty fucking false in my ears atm.

I built a decent rig at the time 2 years ago for a 10 year old for less than 600€. Sure, some parts were used and it's obviously no monster but he's still using it daily. He's learning how to upgrade it every time I have money for it, too.
You don't have to buy all new Nvidia GPUs for $550 a piece to play games, ya know?
That's not quite it though. He might've used autocratic measures, even cruelty from certain points of view, but in the end he saw something nobody else did, and acted to save his species.
..and in the end he gave up god-like powers to preserve what was left of his humanity and went on full well he couldn't win in any conventional manner. After said confrontation he willingly shackled himself in perpetual agony to give the species he just gave everything for a chance to rebuild and forge on. He even built a safeguard or two for ..unforeseen events.

Also Finnish, and where I live it's not only free to do as much laundry as you want up to three hours/day down in the basement but everyone in the house helps to keep the washers and dryers clean and functional as well as regularly clean the common areas together. As a 38 year old man it's quite funny to hang around and clean with a bunch of older ladies, lol.
..and ofc that sweet unlimited internet for free is nice as well.

Speaking of Richochet and love reminds me of a guy I halfway knew in my youth. He had the bright idea to jerk off a quick one in the middle of a LAN party (lI know, right?). After he inevitably got caught (despite being somewhat secluded) he alt tabbed from whatever grainy porn clip he had up straight into Ricochet just as he.. well ya know.
He never came to another LAN party again, but 20+ years later he's still known as the guy who jerked off to Richochet.
