It used to have "remind me later" function for notification some time ago, now it doesn't anymore.

Problem is I can't go back to the older version that add it, because I commented an entry, and the database changed. So now I'm stuck with this version

Do you promise to never add season pass, premium currencies, lootboxes or anything of the sort?

If yes, count me in!

[–] Ogygus@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

What if that "season" never ends.

[–] Ogygus@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Lol it wont even show me the demo without logging in

[–] Ogygus@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

Extend that to anybody involved with patient care and medicine.

I'm looking for a private, personal, music steaming too..

Is jellyfin easy to set up?

PCs are far more secure/anon vs even graphene on a pixel.

Lol, both kind of devices have dedicated chips on the CPU that run their own microcode.

Drives aren't very easily backed up or even cloned.

You can use Neobackup to periodically backup, or recovery create a clone of the system partition. If you mean external drives, you are right.

Software is limited on mobile or needing flashed or rooted.

Well.. Depends on what you need to use. There's very few apps or niche use cases that require root.

SSDs slots as USBs are just slower and finnicky fiddly.

Just use an SSD enclosure

Convenience when on the go without sacrificing processing power as least as possible.

Again, it depends on what you want to do. Open and edit documents? Phones are more than capable Edit videos? That's gonna take a while.

What about a central PC setup that you carry everywhere? Having access to running VMs, servers, all on the go. Not a laptop but similar to an micro ITX or Intel NUC.

Something like a GPD?

Seems cool! What are the apps called?

I was interested in the Pine64 for its very low price, i mean, even if I don't like it, i didn't spend much on it.

But then.. Why would i pay for a device that gives me more notifications??

My phone has no notification sound, not even vibration, I hate being distracted while I am in the middle of something!!

I want less notifications, not more!!

What Garmin are you using?

I could look into a watch that needs to be recharged ~~never~~ every few weeks.

Why do people spend money (and quite a lot of it) for devices that have less functionality than a smartphone?

  • Tablet is just a bigger screen, but not same power like a laptop.

  • Smartwatch is just tracking device that sends even more of your personal data.

And BOTH are another battery that you have to worry about.

Just a RSS button that opens the feed of a particular community.

Does such an application even exist?

It would show a screen lock before letting you interact with the application AND is open source.

Hello i am searching for a music player with some specific features.

So far I've been using "AIMP" because it shows me the spectrogram of the song, when it's quiet, loud etc. You can see what it looks like in the attached picture

Is there a FOSS application that does this?

I'm looking for an alternative to "sleep as android" as its not FOSS.

What I would like is the customising that "sleep as android" offers:

-alarm that rings at a specific time during weekdays, and another time during weekends -alarm sound that gradually increases volume -alarm chooses from a selection of songs, with shuffle.

Open lemmy links in application, so that when I click a lemmy.world (or other instance) It opens lift-off

Open lemmy links in application, so that when I click a lemmy.world (or other instance) It opens thunder

I would like to have

-open app, it directly links to subscribed, instead of local. -mark posts that I scrolled over as "read" meaning that they won't appear on pc -wordfilter blocklist

Would it be possible to implement this features?
