• Old Gods of Appalachia (horror anthology series set in an "alternate Appalachia," where the mountains were never intended for human inhabitants)

• We Die First (horror film review podcast "made for Black horror fans, by Black horror fans," but my white ass enjoys it)

• Just the Zoo of Us (a weekly spotlight on one or two animals, with ratings for effectiveness, enginuity, and aesthetics)

• Random Number Generator Horror Podcast Number 9 (another horror film review podcast, hosted by Jeffrey Cranor and Cecil Baldwin)

Hi, all. I'm looking to change my nasty tendency to be a sore loser, particularly when playing games. I tend to personalize losses that are of no consequence. When the game starts to shift against me, I often stop trying as hard because it feels hopeless. My partner is much more proficient at board games than I am, and I don't want this toxic trait of mine to make games less fun for us. What are some things you all tried to lessen this train of thought, if you've experienced it?

My naval! I'm very thorough when showering - I absolutely hate feeling dirty. But I think the ol' belly button gets overlooked because of how concave it is.

How do you practically deal with/overcome isolation and loneliness? How would you heave yourself out of (when you're already in it) the annexed depression? in c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml
