This makes no goddamn sense. You're saying the vaccines will be available to higher risk populations but for some reason us healthy peeps can't get one? Why? If it is ok for people who are the most vulnerable surely it must be safe for everyone else.

That only makes sense with limited supply or very limited budget, but doesn't make sense if you want to keep the whole population healthy (especially since it has positive ROI through preventative effects)

Viruses often cause health issues later on. Chickenpox can cause shingles, mono can cause a whole fuckton of diseases years later, long covid is common enough for it to not be a conspiracy anymore. This stupid choice is going to create a population with poor health for decades to come

This is my experience: I caught covid while in the hospital, despite being vaccinated and boosted. The people in the unit I was in were also vaccinated, so I know they were sharing a reduced viral load. I got extremely sick, not quite on a vent, but lucky I was already in a hospital. If the rest of the population is sharing full viral loads, I will probably not survive if I catch it again

Write your congressman about this. If congress sees enough pressure they will force changes. However if this (like so many other things) sees just a little response they do what they want.
And remind your congressman that Canada just had a district lose an election by a single vote.
