Of fucking course it’s politically motivated. He’s seeking protection because he is being hunted by a corrupt traitor masking as a “politician”. The politics ARE the motivation. God damn almighty these people are fucking stupid.
Don't worry, liberal media is going to save the day here by passive voicing genocide and offering comfort to fascists being "unfairly criticized" so they can remain fair and balanced. The revolution will be televised, as they always say.

You know, I was about to go on about how they aren't stupid, they're cowards, because they fully know what you say is true, but they are too scared to say things out loud because then they'd be a target, OR because they believe in "the moral high road" and "believe the best in people" to a fault and "it wouldn't be proper!" to call a nazi... You know... a nazi.
But then I realized all of that, while possible, is still insanely fucking stupid
So I guess my point is "yeah, and giant fucking cowards to boot"
It’s amazing how sometimes, it’s the most simple, obvious explanation.
It’s exactly what the GOP wants, the only thing that’s off is that I don’t think even they thought they would be this successful

The most fundamental right in a democracy is the right to seek redress for grievances against the government,” Lee added. “God knows where they would send [Taal], simply because he decided to access the federal courts with American citizen colleagues to challenge whether what Trump is doing is legal or not.”
The timing is designed to send a very clear message that anyone criticizing Trump is risking imprisonment and/or deportation. And we are hearing more stories now about officers asking people for their views on Trump at the border, and searching people's phones for anti-Trump sentiment. It's remarkable how quickly US law enforcement has jumped onto the dictatorship bandwagon.
Remarkable?
Law Enforcement has always been pro-authoritarian, since it's inception in the US at least.
They expect you to obey, or die. Particularly if you don't look or do what they think you should.
Question: IF he were to surrender, would he be deported to the UK or to a South American prison?
If it's the latter, can he cross into Canada and just go home for his safety?
I'm not saying he should, I'm asking what his options are.
In general if entering by land a UK citizen should only need to present their passport at the border to be granted entry to Canada.
