Canada Proud appears to be Poilievre's brand name for spreading lies he can't get away with repeating himself.

[–] DarkWinterNights@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

conservative meme machine

Seems to grossly and deliberately understate what Canada Proud, Canada Unity, Take Back Alberta, etc. etc. etc. really are.

Noah Alter, a spokesperson for Canada Proud, defends the Carney-Epstein ads, insisting the group never accused the prime minister of participating in Epstein’s crimes, but is instead simply asking questions.

Oh, just asking questions, they should prove themselves the negative of our proof less accusations!

Come on, this still qualifies as defamation in Canada, they should get sued for it.

Maybe someone should do the same for PP. You know, just ask questions.

[–] FreeBooteR69@lemmy.ca 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah like why no security clearance PP? Afraid his ties to Putin will be exposed i'll wager.

[–] grey_maniac@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Maybe PP is the one with ties to Epstein. Maybe that's why he's afraid to get clearance.

We are just asking questions - Tucker face

Former Post Millenial writer - shocker.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 months ago

simply asking questions.

"Sea Lioning"

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 44 points 3 months ago

Completely unsurprising. Someone should check if "Canada Proud" has a pedophile problem.

Now is the time to be getting information from Canadian Owned and Operated media.

There will be disinformation campaigns unlike any other election.

[–] qprimed@lemmy.ml 8 points 3 months ago

usa occupant here. for the love of everything good, please push back on any disinformation like your lives depend on it.

talk to neighbors, carry leaflets with you to bolster valid, verifiable facts - and hand them liberally to anyone misinformed. this is now a matter of national security for canada.

an informed electorate makes informed choices - whatever those choices may be, at least make them from a place of concensus truth. the us has not done this for a long while now.

Aren’t those photos all fake?

How is that not libel?

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 7 points 3 months ago

All no photos and no other documents to support the two knew each other?

So is L'il pp gonna fess up about his "alleged" spousal abuse? It's up to him to set the record straight.

[–] Kichae@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 months ago

He needs to explain the dead hookers I believe are in his trunk

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 17 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Why are ads like these allowed? This is disgusting to allow as an ad.

[–] radding@lemmy.ca 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Meta and Twitter. They allowed similar stuff in the past for our and the US elections. 🤷🏽‍♂️

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 months ago

Nah, I've seen these shit ads on TV multiple times already in nars in between other normal commercials.

This shit should be prohibited

Ah, JAQing off on the public stage 🙄

[–] RunawayFixer@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago

Stating to be "simply asking questions" has become such a red flag that I immediately assume that anything that person does or says, is most likely misleading, and certainly done in bad faith.

[–] Dearche@lemmy.ca 10 points 3 months ago

It's insane that these guys don't get fined into oblivion for such blatant lies. This is far different from regular people saying stupid stuff, but instead an organized effort that paid to have such a message heard.

[–] Megaman_EXE@beehaw.org 4 points 3 months ago

I would rather have a more progressive option. But if it's liberals or cons, I'm going to go with the less evil of the two. I really hope we don't end up like America. I hope we can maintain our freedoms. Otherwise, I see no other options than to flee somewhere safer, but I doubt that's practical or even possible.
