The parallel killers diagram has killers in series.

[–] stebo02@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 12 hours ago

the diagram is a killer itself because it's a short circuit (assuming the killers have a negligible resistance)

I made up a thought experiment in my teens:

If someone made noteriety by placing remote triggered explosives in multiple victim's bedrooms, and set them off at exactly the same moment, would they become known as a parallel killer?

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Wouldn't that just be the good old mass murderer?

[–] Allonzee@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

I mean yeah in a crude sense.

But serial killer tours are booming, there's like 5 different jack the ripper tour companies in London.

Like it or not, people appreciate the craft. Plus the most successful serial killers in history can't hold a candle to a lot of capitalists that get puff pieces in Forbes killing their customers to increase profit. And don't get me started on governments.

Serial killers are amateurs when it comes to mass murder. Rookie numbers. US schoolchildren have proven to be as good as the best of them by the numbers.

Serial killers are more like hipster artisinal murder craftsmen that want you to appreciate the intricacies of their methods.

And if they did it repeatedly, would they be a serial parallel killer or a parallel serial killer?

(the first one though)

The parallel killers on the left kill more frequently than the ones on the right because they've been shorted so they're stabbing all the time.

[–] mynameisigglepiggle@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

Yeah I reckon the ones on the right might not stab at all because there is potentially no resistance with the ones of the left.

I'm also concerned they might blow up on the left because of too much current. Hopefully they function more like a motor than a LED

Complex Impedance or it didn't happen

[–] CreatingMachines@fedia.io 3 points 14 hours ago

Now make a full wave rectifier with them killers.

What is the equivalent 1-killer circuits to these?

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 16 hours ago

Current kills
