I’m not sure, but you should be careful while handling this stuff. It seems like it’s hazardous - the dust it produces in particular. You’re not supposed to handle it without gloves. I also can’t find any info about drying it out safely if the dust it produces isn’t supposed to be breathed in.

Maybe you’ve done this research already, and I’m overthinking this, but whatever you wind up doing, just be safe.

Well, we have been meaning to talk with you about your forehead odor.

I used to use those mesh strainers for hops when I was still brewing beer. I would use them for desiccant drying too, but I don’t think my oven maintains low temperatures well enough to not melt the beads.

I got a food dehydrator instead which I think would work with your 3D printed desiccant holders if you make them out of the right materials.

Oh, right. I’m tired and don’t use any microblogging platforms.

So yeah. How are things?

My own take on this is that Dems need to focus (not exclude anything specific) on the economy and the working class, that the correct way to strengthen the party and serve everyone’s needs is to focus on the class war. But they’re too cozy with billionaire donors for that to happen right now.

From the reply, it looks like maybe Favreau is quoting something from an article perhaps?

Nothing can ever be perfect. We have AI detection capabilities to identify faked videos. You’ll never convince 100% of any group of anything. We still have to sway as many people as possible. Not every voter is a conspiracy nut.

It’s because they still had the trebuchet, long may it reign!

And nothing does that better than video evidence. Fortunately, virtually every cell phone still in existence can record video.

I won’t ask for details, but just know that I’ll miss you and the quality content you bring to Lemmy. I hope you’re okay. Reach out if you want a stranger to just listen. We have different challenges, I’m sure, but I have a PhD in suffering. I don’t judge.

I might agree that the Democrats need to strip down messaging to better concentrate on winning back working class voters, but arguing that progressives are the reason the party sucks is looney. Progressives are the main group screaming about wealth inequality!

Kamala failed to convince voters that the Democrats would address the issues affecting their wallets. She mentioned some policies that I think would help, but she also said that she wouldn’t do anything different from Biden. I think that was a major disqualifier for her among voters. Biden isn’t responsible for the economic effects from the pandemic, but he was still in charge, so some people are going to blame him. Saying you’re not going to do anything different doesn’t inspire confidence.

I know that things won’t get better for the average person under Trump, but Kamala and the rest of the Democrats need a major fucking wake up call. If they want to win again, they’ll stop cozying up to billionaires and start fighting hard for the working class.

Anything that doesn’t focus on the class war is ultimately a distraction. Start winning the class war, and then the party will get strong enough to do something for everyone - including special interests.
