I have a bit of a thing of watching Darts and sometimes professional bowling. Two things that are best described as 'pub games' but are treated as sports in some fields. I can accept the argument that it's boring watching two dudes, literally, go in a circle as they throw 3 darts at a time, chipping at 501.

And no I don't watch full dart games, the most I can deal with is watching PDC highlights and those can go 10 ~ 30 minutes. I can't fathom sitting for an hour or two for the full tournament of the same thing. But there is a zen like feeling I get that I relax by watching it happen. I also can't wait to order a dartboard stand too so I can start throwing again.

Competitive Excel Esports.

On ESPN 8, The Ocho

It's a real thing, and I love it.

[–] big_slap@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

yo this is awesome LOL. I love the one guy that went all in and dyed his hair 🤣

[–] Fantomas@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

My dear friends, anybody judging you for the crap you're watching isn't worth it. This thread is full of awesome people enjoying interesting things.

[–] Disgusted_Tadpole@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Don’t say that too loud though, you’d wake up the bronies

[–] Fantomas@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh I forgot about them. Sorry everyone. I take it back.

[–] Hackerman_uwu@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Fucking sick username tho.

[–] Weirdfish@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Video game challenge runs. I only play on consoles these days, so mod access is very limited. I love seeing the crazy challenges people come up with, and the even crazier strategies they develop to beat them.

"What fun is it to watch someone else play a game?" Says the guy with the football jersey.

You might enjoy dougdoug

Cougar Town, it's sorta shallow and dumb but it's not like the name suggests. It's a bunch of wine-drinking adult children in a cul-de-sac hanging out together and doing dumb things, not so much about hooking up. Ellie and Bobby are my favorite characters.

[–] GrayBackgroundMusic@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Anime. Love death and robots. Vtubers.

I love animation of all kinds but some shows are gonna get eyebrows raised at you.

[–] LyD@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Love death and robots

The popular Netflix series? Who's raising their eyebrows at this?

[–] GrayBackgroundMusic@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Some of the episodes are silly. Like when yogurt took over the earth. Some are awesome, like the farmers with mecha. Some are... not safe for kiddos, like the one where the main character operates a giant monster ... "Later, Dicko's mistress visits Sonnie and seduces her, only to impale Sonnie's head with a concealed weapon"

[–] Ixoid@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Sonnie's Edge was the best LD+R episode (in my opinion). Developed from a short story by my favourite author, Peter F. Hamilton - well worth a read!

All Creatures Great and Small.

It’s sappy as fuck. And I love it.

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Popping videos. I like watching people pop zits and drain abscesses.

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This is the best. Love watching coprolith extraction vids, too.

You, me, and hundreds of thousands of others according to YouTube.

You can take my summoning salt from my cold dead hands.

Love his work!

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Watching Bob Ross paint. I'd probably get judged by my friends from art school. But fuck it, he's so relaxing to watch. My wife and I spent 4 hours watching him paint without even realizing it

Lazy Game Reviewer's old Sims 3 videos

Here we go. This guy knows what's what. 😀

[–] GrayBackgroundMusic@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

I love slow train videos. Nothing to judge there. They're peaceful and beautiful.

[–] all-knight-party@kbin.cafe 4 points 1 year ago

A little bit ago I used to watch the AI Sponge live streams for all their horribly AI voiced shenanigans.

It wasn't super eventful a lot of the time, but sometimes they'd just have humorously absurd short "storylines". It was really a sad day when they got taken down by Paramount, I had actually found it to be a soothing comfort food type of stream.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 4 points 1 year ago

This just feels like a ploy to be judged...

I watch furry tiktok memes (but not on tiktok).

[–] xkforce@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I occasionally watch anime. That's it. That's the post.

[–] Zozano@aussie.zone 4 points 1 year ago

No. You need to say exactly which one so we can tell you its trash.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

The old sci-fi channel Legend of the Seeker TV show.

[–] Persen@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Cable, for some reason, even tho it is expensive and we almost don't have anything interesting.

[–] NENathaniel@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I love watching Quake Pro League cause I think Quake Champions is the best fps esport rn but, def get made fun of by some other gamers for being into "dead games" (mostly Fortnite players lol)

[–] Weirdfish@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I've been a gamer since, well, gaming started. I happened to join the military right when Quake came out, and basically missed that generation of gaming.

Can not tell you how excited I am to play a "New" ID software title now that the remastered Quake 2 came out.

Just waiting on a friend to get it loaded, gonna do this blind coop with another geek.

[–] Presi300@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This sound really stupid, but washing machines... Idk I just find the spinning relaxing for some reason

Pixar, Disney and Studio Ghibli movies. The cornier, the better - especially if the characters have catchy songs that get stuck in your head for days. The Last Unicorn has been one of my favorites since I was a kid.

I'm a grown ass man, big beard, 1,85m (6 foot) tall, and wear mostly black. And I don't give a rat's ass about what society thinks is "appropiate" for me to watch. If your masculinity is so fragile that it shatters when you have to look at an animated clownfish for three minutes, it can't be worth much. =P

Strangely enough, the news. I like watching news summaries and especially world news.

Young Sheldon. I've never even seen the big bang theory, but Young Sheldon is a solid family comedy.

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Surprisingly agreed

I love watching BMX videos. I’m old and don’t ride, but hey, plenty of people watch sports that they don’t play. I just happen to like BMX.

[–] Izzy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I like watching long seemingly uneventful videos about trains or just of trains moving on a track.

[–] SleepyWheel@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] Jackthelad@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nothing wrong with snooker. Watched it since I was a kid and went to see it live for the first time earlier this year at a tournament being held local to me and it was great.

Going again next year. 😁

[–] SleepyWheel@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Sounds great, I've never been but I should do it 😃

[–] EtnaAtsume@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Amberlynn Reid reactions/ commentary.

Never the woman herself, mind you. Ew.

[–] Dylan@lemdro.id 1 points 1 year ago

I'll throw on hour long videos of building PC's in the background while i'm doing chores.

It hasn't come off as judgy but my wife asks why I don't put on music or something else instead. I usually like it because i don't need to pay too much attention to it.
