Yes but not as much as I used to. Please bring back cheat codes and easy difficulty mode so I can actually play these things without having to grind hours of my life away.
I'm just going to throw this out there- If you're playing a single player game on PC, and don't mind robbing yourself of the games intended challenge, then there's nothing wrong with modding or even fudging data values through something like CheatEngine or save editors.
Example: there's a reason that a lot of pro nuzlocke players use infinite rare candies instead of spending hours grinding up a leftover box Pokemon that's still level 12 at a level 50 gym.
Sure, some people online are going to frown on it, but fuck 'em. It's your free time to spend how you choose.
Slightly annoying that I have to jump through hoops, even if they're minimal, but I really should take a look
There must a lot of old games which you still haven't played or a hell lot of indie games, where you don't actually need to grind to enjoy the game.
One of the reasons I prefer playing on PC over other platforms is there's usually fan made mods / cheats. Like, yeah, I could do something really tedious for four hours, or I could get a mod to skip it. This is my leisure activity, not an exam.
I try to be mindful that too much cheating can water down the experience. Like, if I was playing BG3 and just set everyone to max level from the start, I would probably have less fun, personally. But if someone just wants to do the story and have fun with exploding barrels? Not for me to judge.
(I do draw the line at multiplayer. Cheating against other people is rude as heck. )
Yeah I just want to play through the story. Not intein multiplayer
