There may technically be better players out there technically. But for me, NO ONE puts as much emotion and nuance into his playing than Julian Lage.

One of the only recordings of (IMO) the greatest guitar player of all time that isn’t recorded with a potato. ;)

Allan had the improvisational skill and mastery that put him closest ever to being the John Coltrane of guitar. I had the honor of meeting him and seeing him four times before he passed. There can never be another Allan. Rest in Peace, guru.

Josh Meader seems genetically engineered to be the most technically proficient guitarist of the new millennium. That spider-like left hand is hypnotic and his picking technique is effortlessly flawless.

IMO, this kid can play John Petrucci’s style better than John Petrucci himself. This guy’s playing is just mindbogglingly clean and harmonically rich. He deserves much more recognition.
