From what I understand, 5G was first about increased capacity. Increased speed was a secondary point. It optimizes how multiple users can share the same bands, and adds use of higher frequency bands that don't propogate as far. So for very high congestion areas, they can deploy smaller cells and which each can maintain higher speeds per user. I think the "faster" part was just marketing to get users to buy into the new technology. I mean I think that was the intent. Something about the implementation needs tuning though.

The problem with by state numbers is rates can vary widely between different regions within larger states like California.

This part is based solely on my own anecdata, but I recall paying LOADS of money per kwh in San Diego, but MUCH lower rates in Los Angeles. SDG&E is a scam company. I'm pretty sure LADWP is a public utility. I'm rambling at this point but good evidence that we should NOT privatize our utilities.

Water taste is subjective. I absolutely hate the taste of high-mineral water and love pure water. RO or distilled water tastes absolutely amazing to me.

For Google's devices, the sound is still available as an accessibility feature. It's now off by default, which I agree it should not be. But you can turn it back on, I have it on all my devices, they all still make that sound after recognizing "hey Google " either as a true or false positive.

Regardless of humidity, 86 is gross hot to me unless there is a nice beach or pool nearby.

Did anyone ever really want it, though?

Oh I wasn't aware they went up to $49.99, I remembered them being $30-40, maybe it was a sale or older model.

Strange about the Atmos though, I could swear my 4k Chromecast does support Dolby Atmos.

Also for a streaming box, what is the point of increasing the storage?

This "upgrade" just seems so useless.

Not sure if you were being facetious or not, but that is in fact what they're doing

Google TV Streamer is designed to give you the best entertainment and smart home experience possible. It replaces Chromecast, bringing its best features to our next-generation 4K TV streaming device — but as a faster, more premium version.

It's actually more than 2x the price at $99
