Yeah, it was super fucked.

Nazi Germany, we pass law, now super safe for Jews!

Blahaj cannot speak, therefore Blahaj cannot give consent.

Why you torture blahaj?

It wouldn't necessarily just be burner phones. Many people wouldn't want to take a valuable phone traveling in case it gets stolen. Or maybe their phone isn't compatible with the US's networks.

Come on, don't give them objectively terrible advice.

Wyoming today has the highest CO2 per capita production

Sounds like that's largely because they are the top coal producing state (40% of US coal). In 2023, 71% of power generation was from coal. 23% was from renewables, with about 90% of that coming from wind. But yeah, coal's just going to produce a lot more CO2, even compared to other fossil fuels.

And the Tories were coming in for criticism for it. They basically did a run around the courts, which previously told them in no uncertain terms that Rwanda did not qualify as a safe country for asylum seekers.

It's not included in the final build artifact. It's a Gradle plugin.

Statements by the Biden administration opposing youth gender affirming surgical procedures were mentioned. I have seen commentary elsewhere that this is fairly uncommon. Can someone clear this up?

if Trump is re-elected this and the other federal case will magically disappear.

Gettin' Bibi vibes.

Are we replacing infrastructure or are we just adding capacity?

They are ultimately going to wind up as one and the same. We need to add more capacity before we can rid ourselves entirely of fossil fuel. Using grid power for things like HVAC, cooking, and electric vehicles means those devices get more CO2 efficient as the grid generation gets more efficient.

What is this number if you exclude China?

According to this source, largely unchanged. China's a touch above the average, but relies heavily on fossil fuel, with a large share of that being very dirty coal. Its campaign to install renewables is encouraging, though.

maybe she respected your input on the way the task got done

This is when I knew I was starting to really learn how to do my current job, when people came to me with questions instead of the other way around. It took about two years, but it was a nice shift.
