Why.

Why can't my non-nuclear dreams not be memes.

Two badgers in my asshole says leadership is a quality we've lost. I just wanted to say two badgers in my asshole and don't know where I was going with this.

The funny thing is that I asked this question before, and was also downvoted then too because people think this isn't something that could ever happen to them and I must be stupid. Trust me folks, give it four more years and a ban or two and you'll be tearing your hair out just the same and cursing the platform.

I Need Help (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

I've been using reddit for over a decade and there's a few subreddits I've been banned from (/r/news, /r/crazyfuckingvideos, etc). Unfortunately, I keep forgetting when I'm browsing. If I accidentally comment in one of those my current account gets banned for ban evasion. Is there a browser extension that can block participation in certain communities but still allow you to see content? I can't keep having my current reddit accounts permenantly banned like this and then lose all my subscriptions and preferences and friends etc. This has happened twice already.

Please help.

Having no idea what this is about and being on a Linux meme subreddit is absolutely peak Lemmy.

I'm taking the other comment about not arguing with stupid people.

I mean, it would be an order of magnitude more work to grow all the food and build the (subpar in comparison) amenities I need to survive. But I guess then I would just be a slave to nature. You can't escape.

Urban myth. How often are we gonna keep reposting this bullshit.

That is what it's all about?

This was a team effort.

I made a community a couple weeks ago with the intention of just posting random stuff and seeing if it got any traction at all. It’s already at 50 subscribers so I think it’s going to be around for a bit!

Basically, WestCoastEDM is focused on EDM that’s big on the American west coast rave scene, so Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Bass House, Leftfield Bass and more (but you can post whatever genre you want).

What makes it different from other communities? Links are exclusively for new releases, dubplates, bootlegs, newly available older stuff, fresh mixes, and/or things you just wouldn’t be able to easily find anywhere else. I wanted something that would be fresh and content-rich for everybody, that any basshead could enjoy subscribing to.

See you around, since I’ll be around here as well!

But even with a decade of experience every time I've approached an American company it's been a complete non-starter. Is it because they know they couldn't pay me peanuts like the other guys?

There's even two visa lotteries this year. Guess I'll just look on wistfully while various nameless east-asian countries game the system 🙃

I probably unwittingly chose the worst time in known history to switch jobs.

If anybody has an open senior SRE position at work, that either sponsors or has a Canadian subsidary, let me know!
