To be honest… I don’t think I’ve seen a dried chickpea that wasn’t packaged as a “snack” and it was like $5 for a single serving :(

Yo, chickpeas are crazy expensive where I live
You have had a major loss.
I’m glad you are still with us to share this story. You wrote in such a clear and eloquent way; it’s clear you cared very much about us that you took the time to communicate effectively.
My father is currently in a nursing home (just for normal end of life stuff). He was a deadbeat most of my life and treated his health really poorly.
It’s cruel that he was able to live the way he did and live for so long, while you’ve done nothing to “earn” your maladies; yet, you’re both in a similar situation (except no one wants to go see him, because of him being a PoS for most of his life). You don’t seem like a deadbeat or a PoS, so as far as I’m concerned, you win.
I hope things turn around completely for you and you’re restored back to full health.
I was really hoping this would say “why does Facebook and Instagram provide a web interface when their crappy platforms rarely show content unless you’re using their app”.
At this point it’s purely a performance that they even offer a web interface to their platform.
Same goes for Twitter.
I want a garlic feud with someone…

Apple user here: Shortcuts.
Being able to design lil applettes that take a click or two out of doing a task is a lifesaver.
For instance, going into the clock app and setting a timer is at least a 9-step process (starting from unlocking your device). I made a shortcut to make it a 5-step process.
When I’m trying to hold something in short term memory (especially during a conversation), it’s a struggle

So creepy
Spent the past weekend hanging string lights in the backyard. Used barrel-style planters filled with cement as a stand for a 4x4, then strung them across the lawn on some light cable. Was a pain in the butt, but the final product looks good and should last a few years.
I had GPT 3.5 break down 6x 45-minute verbatim interviews into bulleted summaries and it did great. I even asked it to anonymize people’s names and it did that too. I did re-read the summaries to make sure no duplicate info or hallucinations existed and it only needed a couple of corrections.
Beats manually summarizing that info myself.
Maybe their prompt sucks?

And get this… they’re the same people on both sides.
