This is what I run in both my main gaming rig (I9/4080) and my retro rig (old i5 and Radeon 580) works great for both. Steam and Proton do 95% of the work with no issues.

That's unfortunately true sometimes. You might have to have those conversations by yourself, but you are not alone.

Time to finally switch to Linux! In the latest Windows 11 preview build, Microsoft removed the “bypassnro” command, which let users skip signing into a Microsoft Account when installing Windows. in c/buyeuropean@feddit.uk

If the company you work for is bought by Alpine Investments, get a lawyer. Especially if you're a woman or expect severance when they ditch you.

"Trade in" like theres a dealership willing to give you some kind of fair value for your old computer. That said, if you're willing to be extorted by Microsoft, then you get what you have coming to you.
