I'd argue that a community named Rule 1 should also include non tanky instance mod/admin actions when they are egregiously bad.
I'm surprised it is only temporary. Looking at the mod log, getting a temp ban or a warning are the rarest forms of mod actions taken across all of Lemmy.
This meme fills me with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

That's the only way I've ever heard it pronounced in actual speech. Of course, the only times I have heard people talking about it IRL is in CS classes and the like. I don't know many tech nerds IRL to have conversations about computer standards with.
