You did great it’s really just a spot for you to freeform discuss what you’ve been reading either just as a straight bulleted list or if you wanted to give some feedback as to how you felt about what you’ve been reading that’s OK too it’s very relaxed. It also gives other people an opportunity to ask questions if they see you read something they’re interested in.
I have been working through the short stories in the 1st Thieves’ World Anthology. It’s easily been on my TBR list since the 90’s from when I read one of the follow up books about one of the characters, Shadowspawn. If I manage to get through that before the next post, I’m either going to go on to Gulliver’s Travels or start the Zelda Twilight, Princess Manga.
Yeah, that sucks. Sorry.
This was a super fun read.
Stuart Turton is a pretty new name in mystery, but he’s fantastic.
If you enjoyed Kaiju Preservation Society you will enjoy Starter Villain. They feel similar in that they don’t deal with anything too heavy hitting for sci-fi and are more fun in a sci-fi/fantasy-style setting. They are a good refresher.
Hopefully this gets sports out of the news app. I rather use that spot for the crossword personally and I hate that those tabs are unchangeable.
No one near me sells oofos, I can go to 3 stores nearby and buy a pair of Hokas that I can also wear at the Gym instead of needing a separate pair of Gym shoes.
Was this before or after he ate the big red candle?
One of the downsides to being the main poster on !ebookdeals@literature.cafe is that I tend to buy everything I deem worthy to post. So I got quite a few deeply discounted ones in the weeks leading up. Beyond that, I got some great T. Kingfisher books, Jim Butcher’s newest in the Cinder Spires, John Scalzi’s Starter Villain, and the Discworld Humble Bundle.
I think when I read this I was in a “I don’t care who did it (or how/why, etc…), this ride is amazing” mindset. But I understand where you’re coming from.
I’ve heard good things about The Last Murder at the End of the World from those with ARCs.
