Cyberpunk on easy with aim assist is pretty chill. Popping heads and blowing off limbs. It’s a comfort game for me.

Discord is a closed source system. Matrix with a discord bridge would work. You just use your matrix server and a bot to send and receive on your behalf. There is functionality between but technically the two systems are independent. I also see issues with it not being 100% all the time. Typical of something bridging to a closed system.

What compatibility are you looking for? A non discord application connected directly to a discord server and can send text, audio and visual via discord infrastructure? Nah, probably won’t happen. Bridging is the closest right now.

I setup a Mattermost server for me and the boys. It’s more slack than discord. But chat, rooms and voice all worked. Push notifications worked on android and Apple. But, I had to admit defeat. No one wants to leave discord because they all have at least 1 friend who won’t leave it.

I tried to self hosted matrix, but it suffered the same feigned interest.

I would say it feels closest to steam os. It’s immutable. So make sure you understand what that is. I do like the built in wallpaper engine support. Had a bit of trouble with multi disk support. But got there after a bit of fstab tweaking.

How does it break? The app doesn’t open? Or games do not work? Are you able to log into the gog store? Can you install a game?

Installing heroic game launcher allows for easy use of Ubisoft, gig, epic game stores. Note not all games work, but hey. That’s part of the fun.

I’ve had good success so far with it.

I second this controller. Mechanical buttons and no drift sticks. I feel like it’ll last a while. Only downside is its software. It feels like installing malware. So I did it on a vm of windows. Updated it and configured and never used again. But works great on my deck via bt and dongle in brazzite.

I just installed it last night on my amd cpu/gpu rig. I can not get gaming mode working out of the box. It locks up and reboots. Their GitHub has an open issue with someone else having the same issue. Other than that, Straight forward gnome fedora setup. Install was quick. Hopefully I can figure out gaming mode.

Being loyal to a start up. As soon as I got those shares , should have cashed out and moved on asap.

Change jobs as soon as you can, easily blame it on being young and they never held it against me when I finally did learn that. And since you’re in your 20s, they will never let you retire there anyway. So why stay?

No. Jellyfin accounts are local. So you need to set them up on the server. No external auth system
