When low effort makes it to F1 livery design

They say that nobody hates Linkin Park more than a Linkin Park fan

That's funny, I've never heard that before but I can see why people would say it lol.

I must confess I'm not immediately a fan of post-Chester LP. I've given a few songs a listen and it hasn't grabbed me like some of the previous albums. Maybe I'll come back to it when it doesn't feel so weird.

Besides that, I've been having fun browsing the music posted at !gardengrooves@walledgarden.xyz and checking out what other people on Lemmy are listening to. There's been a huge mix of stuff posted lately and it's been awesome seeing new names around the community!

True enough. Just look at Imola, for instance. Though I suppose it goes back to what the definition of a "great track" is.

Track opinions are a lot like driver opinions where a lot of times they're "as good as their last race" in the public eye. Tracks will also swing in and out of favorability depending on how the regs suit them at any given time, and whatever geopolitical issues are around at the time.

It's hard to really judge all of them simultaneously imo, and that's just part of series racing.

Looks great, congrats on it not being salad!

Any team that isn't subject to following orders from a sister or parent team is a step in the right direction imo.

I haven't seen anything suggesting andretti global is any less determined to make it to the grid.

Maybe this is nothing, but it seems like andretti sr is still banging the F1 drum trying to attract attention and support.

Private in the sense of limited visibility and access to prevent things like harassment and brigading, not private in the sense you're thinking. This is not a security feature, it's an asshole prevention feature.

In the same way that Williams is out of the picture now that the namesake no longer controls the team, sure.

Sure! But, in this case Lemmy is literally a federated copypasta of Reddit, like Madtodon is of X.

This is being overly simplistic IMO. Lemmy is not a direct copy paste of reddit, just the idea is the same. Lemmy is missing many of the tools reddit has come to depend on for things like moderation and community engagement. The idea is the same but the framework is different and that comes with its own challenges.

Lemmy is a good enough platform for now and for future growth. It wasn't a drop in replacement for reddit when the exodus happened and it isn't a drop in replacement now, but it's closer. There are still lots of little things- quality of life improvements, moderation improvements, discovery improvements, etc that need to be tuned or fixed before Lemmy is ready to shoulder millions of active users, but that doesn't mean it isn't worthy of the effort today.

The beautiful part of the fediverse is we're all free to form our own ideas about how it's best grown and supported. If there's something you are passionate about there's nothing stopping you or anyone else from spinning up a community or instance about it and creating the niche communities everyone seems to miss. It all takes time, and individual and group efforts.

TLDR I've been thinking about moving my music posting to my own instance for a long time and decided to finally do it.

GG is spiritually/functionally the same as SJ was but now I don't have account hop to make sure things like reports are being seen reliably.

If you were part of the old community you are welcome to continue posting on the new one. If you've never heard of either place you're invited to check out Garden Grooves and share whatever music you enjoy. If you hate potentially seeing a bunch of music links maybe blocking the community is more your thing.

Whatever you do, enjoy it!
