They were in-house but the local dev team were not working with them. Work force in that country was cheaper so i just got fired shortly after :)
Epzillon
Me maintaining an old codebase and implementing features for months before boss shows up one day and says the 60 remote workers have been working on an identical project which will be the one we actually use. Bruh wtf
Not even kidding, my dad watches YouTube on this smart TV and when an ad pops up he covers his eyes and screams until he finds the mute button. He then keeps covering his eyes until he can fully skip the ads.
Yeah im saving that
I feel like im the opposite from a lot of people in this thread. I very rarely get upset. Like, once a year maybe? Sure, some things annoy me, but they're rarely worth getting upset about. I think most people see me as a "funny guy" thats easy to be around.
Now I swear a lot, like very alot. And its mostly for comedic purpose or putting that tiny bit of emphasis on something, usually opposite from what i actually mean. Saying something like "a fuckton" usually means i had 2 apples instead of 1, where if i actually had way too many apples i would be more descriptive about it and not swear. People tend to take things more seriously that way.
I think casually swearing can help with not getting upset to begin with while also being more expressive if used correctly. I feel like i can get emphasis on what i say and having some form of relief from just swearing casually, which helps negate the build up of annoyances and eventually actually getting upset.
I very rarely swear in an insulting manner, i find it way more insulting and effective to use words that are very "unharmful" for that purpose, such as calling someone a clown or gnome. In the right setting those are devasting. I dont think it translates very well to english, but just imitating a 10yo and saying "your mom" is also just insanely funny as an insult because of how inherently stupid it is.
Very valid. I really enjoy it so far. No matter what browser im on i always spend a new minutes setting everything up. Might actullly harden this some extra. Probably wont get close to librewolf levels but i night be fine with that depending on much i manage to fix.
I found out they have a compact mode which completely hides the sidebar until you move your cursor to the edge. I didnt personally like it but maybe thats something for you?
Same at my new place, i tend to take a shorter lunch and leave earlier, i usually get into office at 8am or slightly before
This is indeed the appropriate reaction to being banned on counter strike. Joke aside you could just lock the entire functionality of adding an account to your family if someone got caught cheating though.
This looks very bandy. Thanks allt for the link!
They do seem to be talking a lot about privacy for not having done anything. And i think they mentioned having disabled most of Firefox default telemetry and such. I will have to double check that when i get ho.e though.
Swede here, we have had strong labour laws and union laws for many years. The general reaction among people here when Musk tried anything remotely close to strike breakers were laughter about how stupid it sounds. It still baffles me that something like that is even allowed in the US.
We have many strictly enforced laws that help workers and employees not be abused by their employers. Unions have way more legal power and rights than in the US and usually just the mention of them makes employers bend over.
It is very funny to watch Musk trying to salvage his mess because thats just not how it works here.
Ofcourse our system isnt perfect, there are lot of flaws but its an imaginary utopia compared to whatever the US has.
