Gen X as well here - I've come to the conclusion that while I'm not expecting to be able to afford to retire at a reasonable age and have no life insurance beyond what my employer offers, the one thing I'm hoping to be able to leave my children is my house. For so many years raising them we were broke and housing was definitely questionable at times, but now I'm about 6.5 years into a 30 year mortgage. If it can be maintained, at least they won't have to worry (as much) about losing the roof over their heads. And if need be they'll be able to sell it when I'm gone, and hopefully it'll still be worth something.

I adopted an adult kitty a few years back and he had horrible dental issues which resulted in having most of his teeth extracted (I ended up with significant discounts per tooth because most of them basically fell out once any stress was applied.) After a few weeks of wet food he went back to eating mostly dry. Per my vet, cats mostly swallow pieces of dry food whole and the crunching occasionally heard is more the result of pieces of food getting caught between teeth while repositioning in the mouth to swallow.

I still give the little guy a fat tablespoon of moist food every morning as a treat, but aside from that he just eats dry without a problem.

Not a Texan, but as I understand if a state connects to other states then there are federal regulations that need to be followed.

Knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are a fruit. Wisdom is not using it in fruit salad.

It's because there's some insane conspiracy theory that Biden and Democrats rigged the NFL to get Swift's football playing boyfriend's team into the Superbowl so she can get her fans to help Biden will the election.

It even hurts to type that.

Did the guy on the couch in the first pic do something to not deserve legs?

An irritating number of companies make it inconvenient to just view a menu, and want you to "Start your order!" to see prices and availability. I get that certain items are regional so entering a zip code makes sense, but if I just want to look at a menu and prices to see if I even want to do business with them I shouldn't have to create an account.

That said, for convenience purposes I'll occasionally order food online or over the phone so it's ready by the time I'm driving past on my way home and pick it up.
