Everybody talking about Xabi Alonso but not the architect of this team. If you're a big club in need of a sporting director, you should go after Simon Rolfes.
Honestly, good performance by Union to snap the losing streak. I hope they can get back on track in the league. It'd suck if they got relegated.
Bayern has been such a 2nd half team this season. In most games, they look like shit only to turn it on in the 2nd half and win comfortably in the end.
Dortmund away with Laimer as a sole midfielder will be interesting.

It's wild to now read a bunch of "He was never that good anyway" after all the drama/hype when the transfer got confirmed this summer.
He may not be a world class player but he's still a very good midfielder. Is it just because he didn't live up to the insane hype he got when he was a teenager?
Consider how good he's been for Bayern as a sub, he'd be crazy to not consider him for the Euros. He's already doing it in a top league.
Their improvement last season was due to many factors, not just Alonso. I think he'll be a good one but let's just chill. He hasn't proven much yet.
