It's wild how the setup is literally, our hero gets kidnapped and sold. And she just acts the entire time, like meh, it happens.
I look forward to seeing more, the art was gorgeous.

It was nice to see Yuri again, but it wasn't very interesting. I hope they can make his stories better outside of his interactions with Loid and Yor.
The way the demons are in this series, it almost feels at odds with how relaxed the characters are. It's a calm, soothing world as long as you don't mind the monsters wearing a human face while talking sweet words, out to eat you.
Those tend to be racism allegories, which is definitely not the case here.
But also like, I don't think you can petrify a corpse. Did they carve at his face to make that skull? Which is way gruesome still, and also would make it less likely to be able to put it back together.
I'll be surprised of the king is anything other than cartoonishly evil from what we've seen. And unsurprisingly, Helck is too pure to notice any of the malice in others. I wonder how evil, to his face, they'll have to be to get him to swear to kill every human.
This was never the most exciting show, but we have not even gotten Sei nerding out over potions. I hope this sudden summon from the king kicks off some kind of plot.
It was nice that they addressed our hero's out and loud gay. When it comes to fantasy worlds, they can be any level of accepting, so its nice to see it acknowledged become a talking point.
If Rae got that good just playing chess vs the AI, the difficulty must have been cranked way up. Brings back nightmares of me trying to play Shogi in the Yakuza games.
I loved the Bond episode, but I'm still not sold on Damien and his goons as a characters I'm supposed to like.
I wish it was only invalidating. This is actively kicking them down.
I wonder if he's happy someone is immune to his charm or if he was really into getting scowled at like that. Or both, both would be great.
