At least I'm not as dumb as Marv was in Home Alone.

I'm more like Marv in Home Alone 2.

Electrocuted to the point of becoming a skeleton?

That bit needs to be done more in live action shit. HA2 is the only non-animated example of it I can even recall.

[–] pelotron@midwest.social 3 points 11 months ago

And it still holds up and is fucking funny as hell.

[–] Cold_Brew_Enema@lemmy.world 11 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Too many bricks to the face?

Mistaking kerosene for aftershave?

As an adult, the calling sign of intentionally flooding their victims houses is so much worse than the theft.

Sure, steal everything not bolted down. Makes sense. Gotta eat, and you resent the "rich" people.

But cause tens of thousands of dollars of damage, and long term mildew risk that will be weeks, maybe months, of hell to fix? Just to be extra petty? Man, that's so much fucking worse.

It was a very rich neighbourhood.

These are guys that were hellbent in killing a 12 year old boy during Christmas. I don't think ethics rank highly in their minds.

Movie idea: a horror style version of home alone

[–] Justas@sh.itjust.works 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yes, also, super easy to see that it was them who burgled those houses. And destruction of property is an extra crime with extra time.

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I believe this is addressed in the narrative.

[–] Tier1BuildABear@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Yeah, the very end of the movie the cop says something like "oh and thanks for leaving all the water on in the houses you robbed so we know which ones were you" or something like that

[–] late_night@sopuli.xyz 20 points 11 months ago

Can you not

[–] zaph@sh.itjust.works 19 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Fuck I look like the ginger version of him too

[–] RGB3x3@lemmy.world 13 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Oh gross, a Ginger.

Me too...

[–] SuckMyWang@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (1 children)

As a non ginger red hair is rad. Fuck what anyone else says or thinks, including you I guess

[–] RGB3x3@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Nah, I was joking. I absolutely love my red hair. I own it more than anything else about myself

[–] Venat0r@lemmy.world 14 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yeah but I don't look that old because I don't smoke or go outside.😅

[–] dangblingus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 11 months ago

Man, robbing houses in the early 90s. What a gig! No IP cams. No ADT security systems. Just don't leave any fingerprints and you literally could have anything you wanted.

[–] Justas@sh.itjust.works 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

He was born in 1957. That makes him only 33 at the age of filming.

[–] NotSoCoolWhip@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yes, isnt that what the meme says? 2023-1990=33

[–] Justas@sh.itjust.works 5 points 11 months ago

Yes, I just did the math for the lazy.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

So I've been older than him for 14 years.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Not yet, still have 19 years to go. (He was only 66 there? Yikes!)

[–] cheese_greater@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

I don't like this even tho it doesn't technically apply to me 🕶️

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

But I've still got 9 years before I catch up to Pesci in Home Alone

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

Dude I’m 6 years older than he was in Home Alone. Fuck….
