Hurling ordure at the TREACLES, especially those closely related to LessWrong.

AI-Industrial-Complex grift is fine as long as it sufficiently relates to the AI doom from the TREACLES. (Though TechTakes may be more suitable.)

This is sneer club, not debate club. Unless it's amusing debate.

[Especially don't debate the race scientists, if any sneak in - we ban and delete them as unsuitable for the server.]

People (of all genders, pretty sure that's not exclusive to women) don't want to work in an environment full of sexism and narcissism?

I wonder why.

It’s honestly surprising they had women on the board in the first place.

Getting Gebru in there would be fucking hilarious, I can't believe Wired asked her. Not loving that they're conflating her with EAs though.

If you want to annoy an AI doomer ask why they don't support Gebru.

Yeah, the fact that they said she was committed to "AI safety" (instead of "AI ethics") was a misstep, Wired has published her take on "AI safety" before but maybe they haven't realized how contentious those two terms have become (or just forgot).

The way they fail to separate her from the AI cultists is sad and cringeworthy, but the thought of OpenAI considering Timnit Gebru on their board of directors is incredibly funny. Almost like Activision-Blizzard hiring James Stephanie Sterling.
