I've been seeing these devices popping up the last year or so and I decided to take a look around.

First, I'll say prices are significantly higher than reviews (even as recent as 7-21 days ago) lead me to believe. For example, they will say RG353V is like $65 but I can't find it for less than ~$110.

Now, there's so many options it's making me freeze in my tracks. I have no clue what makes a good device, and everyone had wildly varying opinions.

Ideally, I'd like to emulate some PS2 games. I realize that might be asking a lot, but I'd love to play Shadow of the Collosus, Time Splitters, Jak and Dexter and more. It's not 100% mandatory, but wow it'd be cool!

My journey started with looking at the Anbernic RG353V (stupid temu ad on Twitter said it was $12, but of course that was a joke - wish I looked at the ad comments before I signed up). For overall bang for the buck, this is looking to be my lead choice, but I'm wondering if there's something better? They have a ton of devices themselves, and then there's other companies like PowKiddy, and even Any.

I wasn't expecting to spend so much, and was going they'd be like $50-100, but I'm not seeing that as the case. Or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, or the wrong devices?

Halp! I don't know what to do, there's too many options and I don't understand the performance and build differences!!!!
