TIL Jabba the Hutt is a small ambush predator
Bear in mind the same ecosystem produced the Sarlacc.
Which apparently I know how to spell without checking.
Explains the whole Princess Leia thing.
Chinchillas have vertical slit pupils despite being small herbivorous rodents. There are definitely quite a few exceptions.
W-shaped pupils likely also help cuttlefish see color and polarization of light, despite not having any cone cells in their retinas!
