You only found enough screws to fit them in a baggie?

I have an empty Costco container from those peanut butter filled pretzels full of loose screws. I had one for marbles too, but I lost all of those.

I've lost all my marbles a long time ago too

Yes. Any yet you will never use a single of those screws in your life. But just in case...

[–] veloxization@yiffit.net 7 points 1 year ago

Well, I've thrown some of those screws out and THEN discovered where they fell out of. And I bet if I hadn't thrown them out then I would have never discovered their origin.

On the other side of that there's dropping a screw and not seeing where it went. Especially with the pointy ones.

And that's when you look in the bag of screws hoping to find a twin but all you find is disappointment

Me placing random yet plausible screws on coworkers' desks:

I mean... if your room have a lot of stuff then it might take a while to find the source, if you aren't being pranked. But random screws on your desk will never be as horrifying as random maggots on your desk.

[–] MayIPetYourDog@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 year ago

I'd consider moving if I found maggots on my desk out of the blue

I usually keep one handy at all times, just so I can hold it up whenever the time is right and proclaim loudly:

“Anyone wanna screw?!”

I like to keep a few mixed in with my pocket sand. Increased effectiveness if you gotta throw sand plus you can randomly drop them on people's desks and whatnot.

Screws fall out all the time, the world’s an imperfect place.

[–] thericcer@reddthat.com 3 points 1 year ago

Always, and at work too.

Or you take something apart and when you put it back together you have a screw leftover. Then it becomes a game of "find the screw hole".

I got a jar on my desk. Its filled with random bolts and nut from various projects. If I just need a one of I'll search the jar instead of reaching for the sorted bags.

[–] Steeve@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 year ago

I keep the good looking screws if I'm pulling something apart as well, filled a whole bucket of old screws, bolts, and nuts and it comes in handy often!
