This distraction campaign of his sure is distracting everyone from the fact that millions of people are going to lose their health insurance.

But by all means, let’s all just collectively zoom in on this feud he has with a d-list nobody instead.

It’s what he wants.

We need to rendition Trump to Venezuela or other applicable country. They can then try him for all the deaths of their citizens he's caused in his numerous concentration camps. SCOTUS can take its presidential immunity ruling and boof it up Kavanaugh's ass. If we can't try him and all his ICE goons here, then we can send them all somewhere where they can be tried. Trump is sending innocent people to random countries. No reason we can't do the same with mass murderers.

"Thinks" is doing some heavy lifting in multiple directions at once there!

[–] burgerpocalyse@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

its probably more like basic cellular reaction in reaponse to stimuli, like an ocular cone detecting light or dark

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

What even is his beef with her? Like, I haven't even heard her name in 10-15 years.

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 32 points 1 day ago (2 children)

we should deport him after he loses.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

We should have deported him after he tried to overthrow the government.

So it's never going to happen

[–] hessenjunge@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He should rot in jail, preferably the new one in Florida. Unfortunately that’s not going to happen though.

[–] WoodScientist@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 hours ago

Nah. SCOTUS will never let that happen. Rendition him and his ICE goons to countries like Venezuela. He and his ICE gestapo will have caused the deaths of countless Venezuelan citizens. They're fully within their legal rights to charge him and his agents with crimes against humanity. If Trump can rendition innocent people to third party countries, we sure as hell can extradite the guilty to face trial. Don't even try to use the US justice system, not while SCOTUS is so openly corrupt. Just ship all these bastards off to the home countries of their victims. Let them do with them as they please.

This is where he wants to be. He doesn't have that power yet but there are still people who think this is all an act. Morons. This is who he wants to be. He isn't killing people as we know yet but that's the endgame. To become like Putin.

While this is alarming, it seems like such an obvious attempt to distract us from the people in Texas who died from the Republican party's inaction. As well as the revelation that the Epstein suicide video was edited

Pretty sure it's to distract from Alligator Auschwitz as well.

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 day ago

If it's a legitimate threat, it's not a distraction. It's called "flooding the zone" and it's intentional, but it's mean to overwhelm us in general with the sheer amount of bullshit he spews.

But don't make the mistake that this is a distraction. He's opening a path to strip anyone he dislikes of citizenship and exile them to a foreign death camp. This is deadly serious and should not be ignored.

Honestly?

I hope he tries

She wealthy and still a household name. She can pay to fight, it would make it undeniable he's abusing power.

And she literally doesn't even live in this country. Absolutely zero danger at all, and she was already saying she might not come back.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 44 points 1 day ago (2 children)

What we need to do is start a campaign talking about how he's not smart enough or brave enough to try and revoke her citizenship.

Dude is easily manipulated.

Really? People seriously still can’t recognize a distraction when they see one? He’s manufacturing outrage to keep you from paying attention to all of the things he doesn’t want you to see.

It’s a troll. And I am baffled by how easy it works.

[–] DominatorX1@thelemmy.club 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

An emotional population is a controllable population.

[–] SpacetimeMachine@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

Everything is a distraction from everything else. It's incredibly effective and I'm not surprised it works this well. The country's attention span seems to be about 3 days before they forget something and move on.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He’s a toddler that can’t stay focused on anything long enough to give him credit for that level of thinking. Even his own advisers and staff have said as much when they can’t give him briefings more than a few minutes long or he gets bored, spends all his time posting online or watching TV. He’s not manufacturing anything, this is who he is. The press OTOH is perfectly happy to report on one stupidity and then abandon it for the rapidly arriving following ones.

[–] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Thats unfair to toddlers. My toddler has a much greater attention span than Trump.

Everything he does, except golfing and raping, is a distraction. That’s his job.

[–] hydriplex@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Distraction from what, these days. Epstein, Iran, tariffs, Israel. It's all super effective.

I was explaining this to people when the courts first announced he could revoke birthright citizenship.

They're not going after Anchor Babies. They apply to everyone. Birth certificates don't have multiple types.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (4 children)

I made my dad go on a rant, when I said if we didn't have birth right citizenship then Trump would be a fucking illegal alien. Because his grandfather was a FUCKING IMMIGRANT! I literally screamed the last part because sick of my dad railing against Mexicans and blaming them for everything. Even though he used to work illegals and even paid to gst some ship in illegally.

Thankfully I finally cut my dad off I'm done. Sucks that he gets to stay wealthy due to what the true rich done to this country. All that money and he still a toxic and unhappy person.

What would someone do if their citizenship is revoked? Like if one suddenly finds themself in that situation what can they do other than run to the nearest embassy and beg for asylum? Presuming this is done before one is already in custody.

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 27 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Three options:

  1. Go to every embassy or consulate you can and try to get a visa
  2. Live illegally in another country
  3. End up in a concentration camp
