Babylon Berlin (DE) is amazing. They really nailed the tail end of the roaring ‘20s, and the subsequent market crash and rise of fascism. Great homage to old school film noir.

Gomorrah (IT) centres around a cocaine smuggling crime family. Lots of interpersonal politics within the family and between other syndicates. I think it was season 3 (could have been season 2) that dragged a little bit but the rest had me hooked.

The Icelandic series Trapped is fantastic, and the “sequel” Entrapped is also excellent.

Les Revenant (French I think) was spooky

If you can I find them, Deutschland 83, 86 and 89 and also stellar and remain on of my favorite shows in any language. Dark is not far behind either

If you like Deutschland 83/86/89, then I would recommend A Besugo (The Informant). Literally the Hungarian version.

And Babylon Berlin.

I second Babylon Berlin, it's amazing.

Other than than that I've recently enjoyed Vortex (French) and Public Enemy (Belgian), both on Netflix.

Not that I like it but Série Noire is really well like in Quebec, you could look at his first : Les invincibles and his latest C’est comme ça que je t’aime

Are you Quebecois? I watched the first season of Plan B 2017.

I had to hunt that down hard myself.

There is (was ?) a torrent site for Québécois series and movie, Rarbg or something like that

I recently watched Boglands and it was much better than I expected. Its about a small town in Ireland where a woman who disappeared gets found years later murdered in a bog. Its in Irish with a little English occasionally so subtitles are required.

The first season of The Eternaut, based on a graphic novel from Argentina, came out earlier this year and is a pretty good modern screen adaptation of the material.

Au service de la France is one of my favorites that I've watched several times.
