Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

If a TV show can cause you mental anguish enough to claim damages, I think that disqualifies you to be the President of the United States.

[–] pennomi@lemmy.world 75 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Even being a felon didn’t disqualify him.

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 21 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

As stupid as he is, he's a savant when it comes to pandering to the grievances off old and poor whites. I have to admit, he's a genius when it comes to that.

"He hates who I hate! We're on the same team, Trump would have a beer with me at my double-wide! Hell, I'd let him f#$k my daughter! 'Murica!"

[–] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

thank you i needed a chuckle

[–] GeeDubHayduke@lemmy.dbzer0.com 36 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If THAT caused you "mental anguish" (X), then you are in no way fit for office.

To nobodies surprise.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That isn't even in the Top 20 reasons that he is unfit for office.

Totally agree. It wouldn't even grace the top 100.

You nailed it.

For someone that wanna-be badassses worship, he whines literally every day like a gigantic wimp. Always the tough guy, but always the victim.

It's a hallmark of fascism.

You need to appear larger than life and strong enough to do impossible feats because you're so much stronger than any enemy.

But also, every enemy is a major threat and we're so very, very weak and need to do X to not be overrun by the enemy.

The dichotomy of fascism is brutally effective with their base throughout history by using these techniques. Appear both strong and weak, depending on the context.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So can I sue HitlerPig for my mental anguish? I'm an old guy, and I've never lived with this level of anxiety in my life, totally caused by him. If he's got a case, I definitely do.

[–] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

You're not alone.

My anxiety has manifested into a physical disorder that prevents me from working. It's bad :'(

I'm sure there's enough of us to put together a class action law suit

[–] unmagical@lemmy.ml 56 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Trump causes the world mental anguish. Is that now grounds for removal?

[–] RedditIsDeddit@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I think we all could file lawsuit if we actually tried

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 28 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Gotta have a mental before you can anguish it

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 3 points 2 days ago

He's mental all right. That's well established.

[–] billiam0202@lemmy.world 37 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Paramount still wants to be bought out by Skydance, and they need regulatory approval for it to happen.

This isn't "mental anguish" it's a mob shakedown.

[–] ryper@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago

It would be funny if Skydance tried to renegotiate the deal or back out entirely, based on how all this nonsense has affected Paramount's value.

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 31 points 2 days ago

Guy is so pathetic.

[–] 8000gnat@reddthat.com 9 points 2 days ago
[–] BoycottPro@lemm.ee 5 points 1 day ago

What a weak man. Shows that when conservatives call people "snowflake", it's just projection.

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago

Well, what about all of the people on The Apprentice that were 'fired' on in front of a camera?

[–] davidagain@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

It has never mattered to trump whether something it true or not, it only ever matters who says nice things about him and who gives him money.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 2 points 2 days ago

Nobody wants to fuck anything about him, except Loomer and Battletoad Green.

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago

So would a 1st grade math test so the bar here is pretty low

[–] StarFame@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

This administration causes me mental anguish

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] nkat2112@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I came here to post a comment suggesting that the mental anguish he claims he has felt from a television program will surely pale in comparison to the agony he'll continue to experience from humanity's ceaseless reminder of TACO Trade, but you beat me to it. Nice picture!

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

The user dinren made it, I just thought it was awesome 😎

If you can get money for mental anguish from TV, I'm claiming all the anguish from being exposed to Fox News as a child

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Trump is definitely a soft-shell TACO.

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

And I believe it really did upset the orange snowflake.

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Well, when you live in a universe of one, and was treated as a prince, but also treated as if you were worthless, any and every criticism is a personal insult. Add dementia on top of it, it's a joy.

This is why The Founders fought to escape Monarchy. A feeb who inherited unimaginable wealth and power, raised to think they were born to rule.

But here we are, with an idiot in charge, and a legion of ass-kissing sycophants hoping to get rich from his favor.

Ain't it fun?

[–] myrmidex@slrpnk.net 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

History might not repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme!

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Yes, it does.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

It is a necessary part to being able to push forward the lawsuit in order to silence future press critics.

[–] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

What a feeble weakling.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

How would one tell that a deranged ranting fool has mental anguish?

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Have they managed to make him realize less than 1 percent of how much of a disgusting human being that he is?

I say less than 1 percent because any more than that he'd just jump off of the nearest tall building.

[–] meyotch@slrpnk.net 4 points 2 days ago

I cast “Sudden Clarity” on the large orange chicken!

[–] Archangel1313@lemm.ee 2 points 2 days ago

Fragile little snowflake.

[–] einlander@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Leader of the free world material.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemm.ee 2 points 2 days ago

Is that why he always chickens-out?

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

I so so so wise it actually did.

[–] don@lemm.ee 1 points 2 days ago

That would require him to have a mind. And also not be a dementia patient.
