  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Trump’s allies often dismissed [Pope] Francis as overstepping his spiritual boundaries and acting as a political figure.

My god he looks old and defeated. That's your boy, conservatives.

Very biased print media tends to use the least-flattering shots in articles about politicians they don't agree with.

This is very intentional, and definitely a "both sides" thing. Though conservative media sometimes goes a bit further and alters the photos extensively to make them look even worse and use old/out-of-context photos. I particularly remember one where Biden was shopped to look red with skin conditions, and the lighting altered to give more of a gloomy atmosphere, making him look a bit demonic. That was on Fox News (.com article). I remember finding the original photo and posting it side-by-side on Reddit years ago.

I'm not saying this because I like or am trying to defend Trump. He's a piece of shit and needs to be held accountable. Just keeping people aware of the subtle ways they (all of them) try to influence our opinions.

There is not a single photo that can make this ancient orange look "flattering". And while most people who don't have the looks probably have other good qualities, Trump doesn't have any of that either.

I thought this was going to be about Hillary.

Wait... was it?

Incidentally, I guess? Still a powerful neoliberal female leader. This was written based on Thatcher.

Pope Francis’s longtime opposition to Trump’s hardline immigration policies was mentioned again during the funeral by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, who led the Mass.

A two-millenia old criminal organization criticizing a criminal head of state. Oh the irony...

The POPE is NOT Catholic! CARDINALS are NOT Catholic! The man DEPORTING CHILDREN WITH CANCER who CHEATED ON HIS WIFE and Trafficked YOUNG GIRLS AT HIS MANSION is God's REAL Chosen Messiah!
