It’s probably just the lighting (or my phone screen), but isn’t that more curry-like in color compared to the typical black?
The color is right, it is made with black bean paste, but the consistency is thinner than you usually see in restaurants, which probably makes it look lighter. It thickens up after the first day in the fridge.
