Okay, but why would I give a fuck if it were true? Trump sure as hell is going to be. Let's see whose best is better.

I said in 2020 I'd vote for a ham sandwich if it was the only alternative to Trump. If Biden is a coked up vegetable, I'll so vote for him over Trump.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago (4 children)

Have you SEEN 1980s pro-wrestling, where everyone was coked up? I'd LOVE to see Biden paint his face with beautiful colors, run around shirtless with arm tassles cutton off his veins, snarling when he talks, and talking about being sacrificed to the front lawn where his only choices are to be eaten alive by a school bus of the cosmos, or get your head run over by a sentient lawnmower that's coming for your WWF intercontinental championship.

Guys.....lets give Biden and Trump copious amounts of coke before each debate. I'd watch the hell out of that shit.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

Trump : stays exactly the same

[–] MagicShel@programming.dev 2 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

I've always been a bit salty that wrestling kept preempting my science fiction shows, so I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I have seen a lot of WWF (haven't watched since the name change). I know exactly what you mean and that would be pretty epic.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

If it makes you feel better, in the 90s, wrestling fans had our wrestling interupted by the west minster dog show.

We tune in every July, and for 2 weeks, during the SUMMER!!! When school was out, and we could finally stay up late......we see dogs running up ramps, and showing how they could pose.

cutton

I'm going to need some delocalization on this one.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Thts called typing on a bus with a phone bouncing around because the driver is an asshole, trying to do 60 on a 25, and hitting every pothole in sight.

[–] raynethackery@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Late for the next time point.

I think more folks would watch political programming if they could cut sweet promos like this.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I think the play here is to make accusations about laws many on the left don't give a shit about to bait the "who cares?" responses and then apply that sentiment to the laws Trump has been convicted of or accused of that they hope their base doesn't give a shit about.

[–] treefrog@lemm.ee 51 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Will Trump pee in a cup first?

I mean if we're going to start drug testing candidates it's going to apply to both of them right.

And as far as I know only one of them has incontinence that's most likely related to stimulant abuse.

[–] Ranvier@sopuli.xyz 30 points 5 months ago (2 children)

This whole thing is so dumb. Stimulants do not make you smart, and they certainly would not treat or reverse dementia. I mean this guy knows this I'm sure, he's just an asshole.

[–] Donkter@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago (1 children)

They don't make you smart or cure dementia, but used sparingly and at the right moment they can make you act at your best for a few hours.

[–] Ranvier@sopuli.xyz 8 points 5 months ago

Sure I mean give a perfectly normal person a stimulant and they might feel like they have more energy for a bit (though to an observer they might just appear anxious, jittery and amped up even if the person themself feels great). Calling it performance enhancing for something like a debate is a huge stretch. Equally likely to hurt a speaking performance, unless someone maybe actually had true adhd or something.

What I mean is, the narrative being pushed here is Biden is this old man with dementia who can't string two words together, and then he takes adderral or modafinil and suddenly he's magically cognitively normal but just for a few hours. Dementia does not work this way, you would just get a very energetic and equally confused person. It's all a ridiculous fantasy, something for Trump supporters to hold in their heads to help with the cognitive dissonance as they watch the debate. Otherwise they'd be forced to reckon with the fact that Biden speaks like a normal human being with coherent thoughts while Trump sounds like a rambling lunatic on a barely traceable flight of ideas.

I also don't want this false narrative giving people ideas that force feeding their relatives with dementia stimulants would be a good idea that would improve their cognition for a while or something.

[–] DoctorWhookah@sh.itjust.works 5 points 5 months ago

Of course he knows. This is a tactic to get Trump out of the debate. Biden refuses a drug test so Trump bails.

[–] Whirling_Cloudburst@lemmy.world 29 points 5 months ago (1 children)

They were eating Modafinil and coming down with Zolpidem when Trump was in office. Was this guy writing the scripts?

[–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com -1 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

Having taken both of those drugs, I have to ask: what's wrong with that?

[–] Kamikazimatt@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 months ago

The person’s linked article was saying the White House pharmacy was being fast and loose with controls on medication. It was getting to people who shouldn’t have it.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 26 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Is this the dude who lied about donnie's height and weight?

[–] NoSpiritAnimal@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Yes, and gave out Rx like candy in Trump's Whitehouse.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Its not even unique to the Trump Admin. Kennedy was famously meth'd up during his Presidency. Nixon was a roaring drunk. Reagan's office loved the nose candy at least as much as it loved prosecuting black people for using it. The White House Pharmacy is a notorious pill mill and has been for decades.

Jackson almost certainly knows this and is playing on it to indict Biden for what's been a common occurrence in administrations since forever.

Right? This guy measured fat Donny and said he had a clean bill of health. And you want me to trust him?

[–] phoneymouse@lemmy.world 26 points 5 months ago (1 children)

lol this guy.. with a history of giving Trump stimulants like candy and who was drunk on the job

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Exactly! Who would know better about presidents being hopped up on goofballs than one of the guys handing them out?

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 25 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

This absolutely screams of projection. Besides, testing for, and calling caffeine a drug is beyond insane - a majority of Americans have caffeine in their bodies and are encouraged to consume caffeine, in many cases, for their health.

Edit: Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, yes, caffeine is a LEGAL "drug". Assumed we would be talking about illegal or abused drugs here.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 6 points 5 months ago

I myself am nearly to "please call Poison control" levels of caffeine in my bloodstream, so it must be nearly 9:30. Earl Grey Syndrome sets in around 4 usually.

[–] JimSamtanko@lemm.ee 13 points 5 months ago

Is anything they ever say…. baseful?

[–] JaymesRS 12 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Wait, I thought Trump said his name was Ronnie Johnson?

[–] BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

The results are in Biden tested positive for caffeine and his sugar levels are elevated 🙀

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago (2 children)
[–] Sanguine@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Lmao. That or an Invalid on the uric acid screen.

[–] BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago (2 children)
[–] empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

If you dilute the piss you put in for a drug test it won't register anything- most test labs will also reject it for that reason

[–] BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 3 points 5 months ago

Aah that kind of dilute

[–] Sanguine@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

When a sample comes back with the creatinine levels below the cutoff (usually 20mg/dl) in addition to the "specific gravity" being off..dont ask me to explain the gravity thing cause I dont really understand how that part works.

[–] roguetrick@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Specific gravity is just the density of the sample divided by the density of water. The dissolved salt and urea make it more dense so the closer the specific gravity is to 1, the closer it is to being water.

[–] Sanguine@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Thanks for teaching us something!

[–] roguetrick@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

I figured since you named yourself after bodily fluids it was important to you.

[–] Fades@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Every accusation is a confession. The EXACT SAME DRUGS he is accusing Biden of depending on are the SAME HE WOULD HAND OUT LIKE CANDY when he was playing Dr. Feelgood with his pill mill for Donnie's pres admin. We have the exact data on which drugs he handed out and it's wild, from date rape precursor drugs to the ones he claims Biden is using. It's clear as day that Trump has been using this shit for years.

They know there will be no drug test just like there was none for donnie recently, thus they feel oh so safe in crying for one. There is no risk of it happening so there is no risk of Donnie having to show his drug-dependent hand so of course they turn their own guilt into a weapon.

[–] autotldr@lemmings.world 2 points 5 months ago

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Rep. Ronny Jackson, who served as Donald Trump‘s White House physician, recklessly speculated that President Joe Biden is using drugs to stay ‘alert’ and to help him ‘perform’ in the upcoming presidential debate.

Host Maria Bartiromo opened the interview with a clip of President Joe Biden appearing to stutter when attempting to say the name of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.

He then theorized that Biden will be spending the next week at Camp David adjusting the doses of these alleged medications that, again, Jackson has zero proof that the president is taking.

These accusations would be laughable if they weren’t so dangerous, particularly because a Defense Department inspector general report released in January of this year detailed how Trump’s White House Medical Unit gave out controlled substances with minimal oversight and even worse record keeping.

Trump staff told Rolling Stone that the former president’s White House Medical Unit was “like the Wild West” with easy access to stimulants and sedatives for employees.

This past March, The Washington Post reported that Jackson was demoted by the military in 2022 from U.S. Navy Rear Admiral to Captain following allegations of alcohol abuse while working, anger issues and sexual harassment.

The original article contains 770 words, the summary contains 198 words. Saved 74%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!
