Considering spinning up an r/printsf clone on this instance instead of doing my actual work.
Maybe both? ๐
Oops! Maybe both. !printsf@literature.cafe (I think this is how you link?)
Love the instance you are creating, hope to help out as much as I can.
Yeah that's how you link it! And thank you, I'm very happy with the community we got going here and hopeful for lemmys future. I think having an instance such as this is great, and I am glad to maintain it long term as lemmy grows. With stuff on lemmy it is just a matter of starting discussion and new posts at this point. Remember that every post counts, even if it feels like you are shouting into the void making more posts organically will eventually bring discussion. It's why I didn't make a ton of communities myself on here because starting conversations and activity is hard and you have to dedicate the time to do so. It's better to have a few active communities than a bunch of dead ones. A lot of people are used to lurking on reddit, but interactions of all kind beyond just upvoting and downvoting is extremely beneficial.
I was contemplating making a lemmy art focused instance, but realistically I don't think I can cultivate more communities concurrently. I do enjoy art a lot and am hopeful for a space on here for it, but its probably a good idea for me not put my hands in too many pots at once so to speak.
Maybe put a link to !411@literature.cafe in the sidebar. I'll add a post to that community as well put in the master community list. Feel free to post a link to it in !newcommunities@lemmy.world to it as well.
Great ideas thanks!
