(M43)I've got quite a nice little collection of fall/winter scents because I really love leathers and tobacco.(M43)I've never really done a deep dive into freshies and springtime fragrances but last year I bought a couple of samples of Etat Libre D'orange You or someone like you and enjoyed it immensely. I also bought a full bottle of Fat Electrician, which has been my go-to fragrance this fall and winter so when I started thinking about buying a new full bottle for spring, You or someone like you was the obvious choice for me. So I just ordered it today. It should arrive in a couple of days. I'm at least as excited about getting this one as I was about Fat Electrician. Has anybody else ordered something recently that they're really excited about? Or have you started thinking about new scents for spring yet? I would also love to hear your opinion on You or someone like you if you're familiar with it ๐ค
New perfume! Lucky you ๐
I tend to be drawn more to the traditional Winter perfumes- a nice oriental, booze, leather, tobacco, amber, woods.....yum
I even wear them in summer, because why not?
I do like realistic green scents though (which usually have something dark and heavy lurking within) Andrea Maack- Coven, like lying in a grassy hedge whilst being drunk on whisky, also CB I HatePerfume Wild Hunt, a walk in the pine woods smelling wet earth, moldy things and fungus. Also Ormonde Jaynes Man and Woman (Ormonde Man does have a delightful zingyness which makes my mouth water) BUT, I haven't bought anything new for quite a while, and it's only if I can drag my bf through the perfume section in Selfridges do I get to see what's new
I checked out the fragrantica section for You Or Someone Like You, and saw this at the bottom....it sounds fucking amazing!
So now I'm going to have to track it down locally.....god damn you @MartinXYZ@sh.itjust.works you've got me thinking about perfume again!

I have really fallen for You Or Someone Like You! It has a note that almost exactly capturesmy recollection of freshly cut grass, which is a smell I love, so it puts a smile on my face every time I spray it ๐
It's great when a fragrance really connects with you, especially when it has notes that bring you back to a point in time in your life....
I have the water perfume of cbihateperfume 'Wild Hunt' every time I smell it I'm back in a damp pine forest.
If grass hits the spot with you there's also 'Coven' by Andrea Maack, it smells like lying in the grass, under some bushes with a bottle of whisky thrown in for good measure, it's very earthy and has a bit of darkness too (which is always a good thing imo)
Enjoy your new love, it'll keep you going through Spring, the heat of Summer, and then on into Winter to remind you of what's to come when the days start getting longer ๐
