As Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) launches his rebellion against House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), multiple reports indicate that House Republicans are looking to get rid of the Florida congressman altogether.

According to a report from CNN, an unnamed House Republican said that the caucus wants Gaetz gone โ€” and that they may use the findings from the ongoing Ethics Committee investigation into the Florida congressman to oust him.

I would settle for "pares away the far-right extremists and starts trying to achieve bipartisan goals" at this point. Only if the Progressive Dems can hold and drag the "center" leftwards to the actual center again.
