Why does this require an iCloud+ sub?
Why does this even exist beyond wanting more of peoples data?
What? You really think such a service/feature is useless?
You know event invites on Facebook was one of its biggest draws early on, right?
I don't think Apple is harvesting this data, but I could be wrong
If you don't think they are collecting any user data I have a bridge to sell you.

Doesn't appear that they are collecting anything they don't already have, but again I'm not an expert in privacy and legal lingo
And I'm not in the market for a bridge at this time, thank you though
Information about upcoming social events is extremely easy to monetize.
They already know the people, you just told them a valuable piece of ad targeting data that can be used against all your guests.
