Okay. I'm trying to get into Deadloch and the jokes are okay but trying too hard sometimes, and that obnoxious Darwin detective is waaaay too overacted/contrived to strike the right satirical note. You need good actors to pull this off... Fisk and even Rosehaven were definitely better than this. I'll watch a bit more but I'm not impressed thus far :/

I liked it because it was so ridiculous.

Meh. It feels sophomoric, and the timing keeps falling flat to me... it's not even in so-bad-it's-good territory or a particularly convincing pastiche of cozy murder mysteries...

I watched 3 episodes. Wasn't catchy enough to grab my attention.

I'm near the end of episode 2 and care so little for these characters :( I really wanted the Kates to do better but I honestly think they peaked with their original Katering Show skits...

I was so disappointed by this show, I adore The Kate's but the Eddie character was not it at all. I'm curious if it's a script issue or an actor issue, but somewhere the wires got tangled. It really sucks because I think everyone else did a pretty slap up job for what it was, I'm definitely a Kate Box fan now.

I would like to support the Australian tv industry, but the shows are mostly, how do I say this … shit?

We’ve been spoiled but very high quality writing, acting, filming from the streamers, and I think the Australian industry has not kept up. I know budget is a factor, but I’m not expecting Marvel level effects here. I’m just talking about quality stories and execution.

Aussie shows , other than kids shows and the gardening show and rage , have been shit for decades. The show with best production values was Neighbours and that was only because it was made for overseas.

Gardening Australia is my favourite comfort watch. So wholesome.

I had high hopes at first, given the writers, but the Eddie character put me off. initially. But I stuck with it and actually enjoyed it. The story is really about Dulcie's journey. Back in the day Eddie would be the comedy foil, but she's great in the later episodes
