I'm literally the only one in my department who said/says, "No thank you." Yes, I may not be a big hit with my colleagues, but my child needs me right now. When that clock strikes 5, my ass is out of there...and (dead fact) I do love my job.

So as the title says, my TL was staging with me back in the OPD room and randomly out of the blue asked, “are you happy working here?” Well to summarize I got fucked out of a full time position so recently in these last few weeks I’ve stuck to myself and just done my job. But me being quiet they decided to ask what is stated above. So I answered, no that the team in the back doesn’t work well together and I haven’t seen my girlfriend in weeks because they have my schedule random because of being part time. That’s pretty much the end of that conversation. About half an hour later that TL pulls me to the side and says “I talked to insert coach name here, she said to have you coached for being disrespectful” and I was just like “I’m sorry didn’t mean to say anything” which I really didn’t just stated my case of what happened to me. Now I’m just wondering if I should bring this up to ethics? Feels like I’m being targeted because I can’t be full time because of a red status on my profile. Or should I just stick it out till my status goes away in November.

I’ve escaped. I’m free. I quit. I have a job in my field that I absolutely love and I never have to chip ham again.

I have a fight or flight response to rotisserie chicken and Walmart Blue makes me physically ill but I’m out. I’ll figure out the rest of the long-term psychological impacts later.

Stay strong, my brothers and sisters in Walton. I’ll wait for you all on the other side.

To my former team,

I hope to never have the misfortune of working with such a repulsive trope of catty assholes again.

I wish you all the worst in your future endeavors. May your efforts be in vain and your prospects crumble to dust. It is my sincerest hope that your misfortune extends to your progeny and you all be blessed with a long, miserable life.

With all the disrespect you have so graciously afforded me,

MJ Deli Closer and FAFO Extraordinaire

I swear, whenever people go to Walmart, all semblance of rational thought goes out the fucking window. Why are people like this?

For me it’s not being able to switch departments in 3 years, being told I can’t switch to overnights, they switched my friend immediately to nights when he threatened to quit, and they’re still not letting me switch departments. 💀

After nearly 2 and a half years of being a stocker at a Walmart, I can safely say that this job is beginning to cause a lot more stress and anxiety than it once did.

When I started, I was a topstock person. Nothing else. Then, I got trained on OGP and then Produce. Now, i do my job maybe 1 out of every 10 days I work. I am a stocking employee and my days mostly consist of order picking or doing produce.

It’s the two most tedious and morale killing jobs I’ve ever had to do at Walmart. I’d rather be a custodian because I can walk around and do bare minimum, but if I use the bathroom one too many times or slip up with my pick rate? I get borderline coached.

This job is ridiculous and I only need to make it four more months before I quit and never come back. Walmart has killed retail for me, has ruined shopping there for me, and has absolutely made me hate the general public.

Side note: how tf do I take a personal google account off of the Samsung work phones?

I've been trying and trying to get a team lead position at my store for well over a year now. I’ve applied and had three interviews and never had any luck. Well, I’m going from the deli/bakery department to a temporary team lead spot in the produce department very soon. I’m excited, but I know it’s temporary… hence the position title. I want to know if anyone has any advice or keys to success in that area because I barely have any floor experience besides deli freight. I’m nervous, but going to try to take the opportunity to the fullest. I’ve been an assistant manager at a restaurant before, so I hope my experience helps me. I appreciate any help you can provide.

I’ll start, i work as a cashier in the front end and as I was checking out this old man’s groceries he said: “don’t trust bill gates vaccines cause he puts rat poison in them.” And I just laughed awkwardly cause I have no idea why he would feel the need to tell me that or where he gets his information from 😂

Amongst a million other things but so far, that’s by far the craziest and out there thing one has told me.

I get it.

You're woke.

You want to fight racism.

You want to be colorblind and not make a big deal out of race when it doesn't matter.

As a multi-ethnic woman sick of constantly being asked my race because people have a burning need to fit me in a box they are comfortable with, I sincerely approve.

I was with that mom.

The first part of the description she gave after his age and gender was his color. Because when you are describing a lost child, it matters. Call him black. Brown. African-American. A boy of color. The shade of a Dunkin' Donuts midnight blend with 4 creams and 1 sugar. Whatever makes your pasty ass most comfortable...

But mention it.

A kidnapper could have changed that toddlers shirt. He could have covered his hair.

Know what they couldn't change?

His fucking skin.

When you know all week that 2 of your best workers got time off simultaneously, threaten all week not to come in, have plenty of PPTO, and show up anyway instead of taking a long weekend. I have nobody to blame but myself, at this point

All of the managers are losing their minds, they're coming around giving out assignments and if you're not working on it the next time they see you, they start going on about how you've known for an hour what you're supposed to be doing, why aren't you doing it!?!

All I can think of is, you've known for the last year that inventory was coming and all you've done is tell people to make the shelves look full and plug any empty holes with whatever you can find. It's like why are you losing your fucking minds now a couple of weeks out, instead of knowing that Walmart isn't going to give you a pass on inventory and working to be inventory ready all year?

Jesus tapdancing Christ, does Walmart teach anything to their managers? Or do they just ignore everything they were taught until the last minute and go into a panic?
