Pretending that the baseload problem is solved for solar and wind doesn't help anybody. "batteries work", but not at the scale of the demands of a power utility when wind and solar happen not to be producing.
Because it forces me to have a snap directory in my home dir which I otherwise keep very tidy. At least let me put it in .snap or something like any decent piece of software. The snap developers don't respect users at all.
I didn't realize they stopped; what happened? I don't remember hearing a hodler outcry.
Interestingly, General Relativity shows that gravity is equivalent to the surface of the earth constantly accelerating upward, even on our lovely globe.
