I got a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited earlier this year and I actually love what they've done with it. It looks so sleek to me, especially in black.

I didn't care for previous iterations of the Elantra. Dont get me wrong - they weren't ugly. They just looked like standard car. Not bad just kinda bland. The newer style has personality, stands out much more and in a good way in my opinion.

Why shouldn't they? O.o

I mean, it's pretty on topic?

Can also confirm that a pretty big one happened before Trump: the one that happened in Brooks, KY in 2007.

The whole area smelled funky for a couple years after the derailment... And was also CSX.

I used to work for a computer repair place long, long ago and I was on the laptop repair line.

I went to unscrew a laptop but for some reason my screwdriver wasn't catching the screw... a coworker took the screwdriver and put more force into and there was sickening crunch that wasn't hardware...

He removed the screw along with an impaled dead baby cockroach...

But this isn't the end. Oh no.

When that screw came out with its buddy they had friends.

A lot of friends.

Flooding out of that tiny screwhole like something from a god damn horror movie.

We bagged that up and sent it back to the customer. It did not get repaired that day to say the least.

In my opinion and experience with my boy Takeo, not any more difficult than any other dog.

Puppy phase was hell but...well, puppies are always going to be a handful until they learn not to chew things and such.

They're definitely not an off-leash breed though - they are notorious runners.

I know a lot of people claim them to be high strung but my boy isn't at all. Not sure if I just got lucky and my boy is a rare Chill Shibe or if people exaggerate their temperament. He's a lot easier for me to deal with than our german shepherd, whom I love dearly but her energy level overwhelms me at times.

My shiba on the other hand is almost just like a cat in a dog's body. He spends a lot of time napping, sometimes just likes to do his own thing, still comes to me for attention when he wants it and is usually happy to just lay on my lap and nap the day away.

I'd get another shiba if I could in a heartbeat LOL

I got a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited with all the options for $27,000 earlier this year and that was brand new. The standard/base Elantra was several thousand less. There was another model below the Elantra for even less. I also didn't haggle and took the price as marked, so who knows. Perhaps someone more charismatic than myself could have done better on it.

I still over paid, don't get me wrong. The same car with all the features before Covid would have probably been around $22-23k.

It definitely is. There's no mistaking them, they're just so cute. I have a little black and tan shiba myself.

Pack Shibe!

Pretty sure it's normal to put your own cream cheese on... But it would have been nice if they'd at least cut the bagel, I guess.

I think this is very much an 'each to their own' thing.

I have a Loth Cat from Star Wars on my arm I got at Star Wars Celebration 2019 and so I get warm fuzziness and memories of that time when I see it there. It was a fun experience I got to have with my family... and a very cute little critter too.

Admittedly I've been asked many times if it was a Pokémon LOL

...It really does. Especially with the amount of word play Gintama uses frequently (Kanji play in this case? Not sure if it's a 'they just look similar written down' thing or actually a verbal play too. I won't pretend to know the word for hemorrhoids in Japanese LMAO)

Man, I miss Gintama.

Mushrooms, mushrooms everywhere!

We get a fair amount in our yard from time to time - I think due to the old stump that used to be there. It's mostly gone now.

These have just been the biggest ones I've seen so far not to mention they were a decent way away from the stump so they stood out to me.

Saw this community pop up on my feed and remembered these neat little guys that popped up in my yard a couple months back so I thought I'd share.

I was pretty sad when the guy who mows our lawn murdered them. They were pretty big! Seemed to practically pop up overnight too!

So as a way of weaning myself away from less healthy beverages I've began a little foray into teas. Does anyone have things like little cheat sheets/charts, dos and don'ts or even just general tea recommendations for someone who has no real tea knowledge?

Here we go, I guess! Babby's first Lemmy post.
