A lot of people have mentioned Legend of Zelda games but I want to say that Wind Waker has held up so much over the years. One of my favourites

I’ve never felt that country TLDs were worth using and this has only cemented that opinion for me

[–] sciawp@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

That’s not true. There are a few other free TLDs. I think five total?

It’s not jumping to conclusions; it’s actually pretty well-known. The devs and their instance are very open about being Marxist-Leninists.

I don’t see how machine learning is related to Lemmy in any way

[–] sciawp@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Thats not a rebuttal. The .ml instance is run by Marxist-Leninists

Thanks, I know what it stands for but I am trying to explain why that particular top-level domain was picked for those lemmy instances

I think it's because ML is a popular shorthand for 'Marxist-Leninist' since they mostly seem to be communist servers

TechCrunch’s report had access to a Discord channel where a person claiming to be the Apple employee who found the bug said “there wasn’t any real urgency” to fix the exploit immediately. The person explained that only Apple’s security research team knew about the exploit and that it’s not easily accessible in a real-world scenario.

Furthermore, the employee claimed that the exploit was reported to Google on June 5 and that the delay was due to the time it took for multiple people to sign off on the report.

Pretty misleading headline

I really hope to see more of this across various industries

If you want advice on getting better:

I’d start by paying close attention to the number of vertices/faces you are using. You have way more than you need for a basic topology and the number of edges is not even remotely similar between the two objects which is troublesome. They don’t have to be exactly the same but you want a ratio that makes connecting them nicer

When you have less vertices, you will find it easier to just manually connect the two objects by creating faces (pick the edges you want to connect and press F)

This really gives you a greater control over your work and will be really beneficial in the long run. Hope this helps!

Just some notes about the image viewer:

  1. Images are not correctly getting the window size when the window is resizable. It seems to be using the screen width instead

  2. Tapping the top of the screen in the image viewer will return to the top of the feed view and you can watch the image viewer swap posts as the current post cache goes to the top!
